Re: Random dmb thoughts that don't need its own thread

Probably not the right place to ask this but I just requested tickets for the Dave and Tim show in Texas for the first time ever through the warehouse and I have a couple of questions;
Am I guaranteed good seats? I did the 95 dollar option and requested 4 tickets. What is the difference between the 95 dollar option and the 85 dollar option? Also, what is the difference if I waited for the public on sale on December 9th? When will they charge my card? Sorry if these are dumb questions I've just never done it before.

    you are guaranteed nothing.

If you get seats, they could be in the front row.
They could be in the second to last row, off in the corner.

    The difference is $10.

The difference between ordering today and ordering on the 9th is 8 days.

They'll charge your card when they confirm if you got tickets or not. They'll put a hold on the count as soon as the request period closes.

first, ordering the $95 option was the best way to go. those are the "lower section". the $85 option is "upper section/balcony".

it's all lottery based to receive tickets. if you get shut out of the lottery for lowers, you will be put in the lottery for uppers. if you get shut out of that lottery, you don't get tix and will have to try on the regular sale.

your seats will be determined by your warehouse seniority, in whatever level/section.

your card will be charged when you are confirmed for tickets. this will be before the regular sale. it's unknown if they will give seat assignments before the regular sale though... that means you could get wh tix but they could be bad and you won't know until it's too late. might be a good idea to try the regular sale anyway. or don't, i don't need any more competition.

Some of that BTCS review is a little too on-the-nose for me. I listened to Weezer, Green Day and even owned the Angus soundtrack. But I probably was listening to DMB at the same time. And then of course Phish came...

    Fuck the Warehouse.

    Garbage membership association.

First show ever in my hometown. D&T tix go up on WH, and even though I've been a member for 10 years, I STILL can't get pit or orchestra tix. There is zero point to staying in this thing.

Spaceman on the Citi release. good stuff. Haven't really listened to the song in a few years. Made me remember how much I like it. Who's with me?

Also had kind of forgotten that this release was the debut of the partial Black Jack intro. Pretty intro. I love the Black Jack (two words?) on the C'ville '10 LT. Who's with me here?

The fact that everyone in the Warehouse doesn't get front row is a travesty. It's insulting.

i've never been a huge fan of spaceman live. maybe because its always in bad spots but it always seems to be boring. i listed to the cville LT and while its still not a great song, its a great performance. i love the solo with rashawn and carter playing with each other. the citi field is a forgotten release to me. LT 22 from scranton is a much better show. between that and cville, 2010 is pretty well covered.

Yeah, I hadn't listened to Citi in three years or so. Great run to start with Stone, Warehouse, and OSW with the instrumental intro, Funny, then Seek Up. Solid set closer and encore closer.

LT22 is even better. Stone, Warehouse, Grace, Seven, YMDT, Billies, Cry Freedom, LITHOG for the first disk. every performance is spot on. one of the best single disks released. OSW with the intro later in the show as well.

Anyone know what this is referring to?

Although still good, warehouse is definitely less impressive live then it used to be. It used to sound so much like dmb if you know what I mean.

I listened to warehouse from CP then I listened to the live from New York version from 2010 and it's a tremendous difference. CP version obviously being much better because it has a true dmb sound to it.

You could say that for a lot of dmb songs with 3.0

I disagree. I think Warehouse is the song that has improved the most since DMB 3.0. It's better now than it was in 2010. Love the UTTAD intros and what Tim does during them. My favorite released version is Atlantic City.
