If she's 15 at the time this happens, how old would that make Obi Wan? In Hope I've read that he was 59. I've read that between Sith and Hope there's a gap of 19 years. So he was 40 in Sith?

That would be an odd relationship.

This talks about Obi Wan between Sith and Hope:

She's not 15 at the time of Rogue One. The trailer said something to the effect of "You've been on your own since the age of 15"

looks very interesting. I would love to see a violent "in his evil prime" Darth Vader. We never really got that, so here's a great opportunity

It's more likely (much more imo) that Kenobi is the uncle of Rey versus her father.

    I was thinking the same

That has to be the most annoying alarm I've ever heard

What makes you say this? Obi-wan had siblings?

If Rey is related to the Kenobi clan, it probably wouldn't be as a Kenobi daughter/grand daughter, since the Jedi are supposed to be celibate.

He didn't have siblings. There was Satine, however. He had a secret relationship with her during the Clone Wars. Perhaps this girl is his daughter (if Satine became pregnant and kept it a secret) and Rey is his granddaughter?

There was also Siri Tachi who he was romantic with, a potential offspring could have come from her and been kept a secret.

Really liked the teaser, so cool seeing AT-ATs back in action.

Going to be really fucking weird seeing a live action Star Wars movie without John Williams' scoring, but I'm excited to hear what Alexandre Desplat will come up with, he's at the top of his game right now.

I like that it looks more focused on ground combat/fighting and less on space combat. And the inclusion of practical effects should make this one a winner.

The end of this trailer really intrigues me... she's wearing a Galactic Empire patch and looks dark side haggered (can't thing of a better term... what Anikin looked like just before he turned... ashen skin, etc.).

Some of the theories I've read this morning think she may turn to the dark side.

But it's not even said yet whether or not she's a Jedi, so perhaps "defect to the empire" may be a more accurate way of saying it

I'm going to get way too overwhelmed and confused with all these spinoff movies coming out, though.

Sweet shit those AT-AT's looked rad in the sand/jungle. Disney is doing a good job and these directors/producers know how to make a trailer that's for damn sure.

Think this will go down as one of the most underrated of the new SW films. Can't wait.

This tells the story of how the rebels stole the plans to the first Death Star that Leia put into R2-D2.

This looks very solid. It's fun to see the old-school star destroyers and AT-AT's.

If Vader is in this, does that mean more James Earl Jones voiceovers? Yes, please.

On the subject of the hooded figure, Darth Maul is still alive in the Rebels universe. Wouldn't it be awesome if that were him?

He was injured in battle, perhaps why he's using the healing chamber.

I bet it is. I think they were definitely itching for a way to get him back into the movie universe.

Chad will have to elaborate since I don't know what happened after that, but he's in Star Wars Rebels. He was in the finale and it even in computer generated cartoon he was kick ass.

Yeah this. This wouldn't make any sense. I don't care if it's in the book or whatever it would be dumb to see him come back to life.

I thought Jedi didn't have to remain celibate, I thought they just had to live free of attachment because that affected their judgement. How else could the midi-chlorians be transferred.

    I have two thoughts...

1.) she could just be going undercover to steal the plans.
2.) She could play the role of Mara Jade essentially. The girl who was the Emperor's right hand but always in the shadows. That could make sense as to being Rey's mother and as to why she was left on Jakku because she had to go help rebuild the empire after Endor.
