Maybe I'm missing something here but is there a way to upload my music (non-purchased/dmb tapes) onto my iclouds so I can then download them on my phone?

the port on my phone is broke, therefore I cannot connect my phone using the lightning link cable

Was really hoping to hold out until September when the next generation iPhone comes out but looking like I might not be able to wait

You can upload the music on your computer to Google Play and play it on your phone. Other than that, you can upload the music on your computer to iCloud but that will cost $24.99/year.

Google play is free and iTunes Match is 24.99 per year. I use iTunes Match and would recommend

The main feature of iTunes match (high quality audio) is useless for his purpose (non released dmb tapes). They won't match anything in the iTunes library. He's better off going the free route with Google Play.

Actually no not a minor inconvenience. Reason being is that my phone at one point would not turn on completely, it would only go as far as the black startup screen with the Apple logo. The screen would either stay on that start up screen or instantly turn blue/red for 5 secs and then shut off.

Apple replaced my phone no questions asked because it was clearly unusable so yes, accurately nicknamed blue screen of death.

I'm aware. What I was saying tho is why would you pay for an upload when you can do the same on Google for free. Hence, he would not be getting the true benefit (the matching and better audio quality) if he pays for iTunes match.

You can put music from you iTunes library on your phone over wifi if you have that setting enabled. Problem is, if you don't you'd need to plug your phone in to turn it on (iirc).

It charges just doesn't sync? Strange.

After a few weeks of switching from a 4S to a 6, the battery life is the biggest improvement. I used to have to put my phone on the charger or it would be dead by afternoon. With my 6, I can use it all day/evening and it doesn't die - I charge it overnight now. Really impressed with the battery life.

Yeah..and it takes about 40 minutes to fully charge.

the input is funky on my iPhone 5. no longer accepts any lightning links cables for connection to a charger/computer. so I use a Mophie charging case and the connection (universal/android type cable) works for some strange reason.

ahhh yeah that's a big problem. was really hoping to hold off till September/October for the next iPhone but I'm getting a little tired of handcuffed by my power connection issue.

I recently went from a work phone to a personal phone, but kept all the same contacts. I use icloud to back up my contacts so when I got the new phone my contacts moved over just fine. I deleted all work related contacts that I do not need anymore.

However -- when I go to start a new text message or an email those names still autofill.

Is there a way to remove all recent contacts at once other then one by one by tapping the I and then tapping "remove from recents"?

Does anyone know why my message tone doesn't come through when I have headphones in and the phone on silent? Do I have to take it off silent?

Only reason I'm kind of baffled is because it rings when someone is calling and it's on silent, but no other tones come through.
