as for SPAC, i've stayed in my car, grand union, and an airbnb. SPAC is kind of a take what you can get, or pay the price. if you're willing to drive 15-20 minutes after the show, theres a LOT cheaper hotels north of saratoga.

Gotcha. Driving is no problem. I usually don't drink much at shows. It looks like Albany has pretty reasonable options as well. Thanks for the tip.

Haha. Well I like beer and I like shows. Remember at Alpine or PNC when we were talking about "the show experience"? Lately, the experience for me has become being in the pit and really trying to pay attention and listen to the music and watch the interaction on stage between the guys. I also hate going to the bathroom during a show. Maybe once I've been to as many shows as you I'll change my method!

Back to SPAC, I take it you were talking about hotels in the Glen Falls or Queensbury areas. I'll take a look at those.

Jimi is usually when we sit down a chill. It's a nice 20 minute break, though I wouldn't mind it being replaced by 2-3 better songs.

Instead of a 20 minute Jimi, give me a 5-6 minute Raven, a 4 minute Digging A Ditch and a 5 minute So Right. Or something.

going to the bathroom during a show isn't fun. thank goodness for songs like spaceman, if only, mercy, and Virginia in the rain.

yes, glen falls is north a bit. I know a lot of people that stayed there last year.

that's austin and I during Spaceman. it's now a tour rule.

Jimi has come back around a bit for me, still don't like the last 10 minutes of it. had a blast with it at ALPINE last year.

Been a while Mason. Things are good. I moved to the northeast so I most likely won't do the Texas shows this year... or come to Austin just to tailgate like last year.

Lone Pint Yellow Rose is the best IPA in the Houston Area. Deep Ellum makes a really good IPA in the Dallas area but you can get it in Houston also.

almost forgot, Brash has been putting out good IPAs but they are draft only for now

Cool, I'll have to keep an eye out. We have a horrible beer selection here in AR so I try to stock up on good stuff to try when I'm out of town.

Live Oak is canning their world class hefeweizen now, there is a new brewery called Blue Owl that is kettle souring all of their beers and releasing them in cans, and Austin always has a better selection of Jester King, which is my favorite in the state, and it's not close.
