Check out Robinson Towne Center area for hotels for concert night and then maybe downtown for ballgame, or stay in Robinson for both. Didn't realize the pirates play on sunday.....might have to do that myself.

Appreciate the info. I've always wanted to check out PNC park and the fact that the Pirates are playing the Cubs that weekend plus the prospect of adding an extra show really makes the trip enticing.

If you wanna hit up pgh and a pirates game I would suggest staying in robinson. You should be able to find an uber to downtown from there. But you wont be able to uber back from the show to your hotel.

Thanks for the info. Basically, I would like to find a place to stay that is somewhere in between downtown Pittsburgh and the venue. From what I have found so far, it looks like the hotels near the airport are just about equidistant from the two and is the direction that I am leaning.
In terms of transportation, the ride from CT is about 7-8 hours so I am just trying to park my car at the hotel and avoid driving until making the return trip. Does anyone have any experience with hotels near the airport like the Hyatt or Double Tree? Would Ubers or cabs be more readily available in this area? Again, I appreciate the help.
