Jazz album

What would you all think of a DMB jazz album... 12 tunes in the vein of Crush?

I know everyone will immediately think "yes, an album full of crush-like tunes would be great". But, I'm talking strictly of the groove... Say the lyrics of Be Yourself were rewritten over a smooth, lounge style set of instruments.

You mean to say that it isn't already composed in that nature?

I think, and hope, you are being sarcastic.

Be Yourself is lyrically shit... But what if a song, with slightly better lyrics, not much though, had a classic DMB riff or a great groove to it.

I try not to put music into categories but have you ever listened to jazz before? DMB has some elements of jazz but I don't think Dave or Boyd are really capable of playing jazz. Dave isn't exactly a jazz guitarist and Boyd is no Jean-Luc Ponty.
