DMB Australia 2014

So DMB are coming to Australia in April/May timeframe next year.

The website www.bluesfest.com.au accidentally put up their first artist announcement a day early and then took it down.

DMB are playing two shows down under at the blues and roots 2014.

Very Happy Indeed as an Australian FAN!

I just joined the group...plus rejoined the Warehouse after letting my membership lapse for a second time in January because I had lost hope of another tour.

As much as I'd love to do Bluesfest I think Sydney plus maybe Melbourne are more realistic. All depends on the dates though.

This is the same for me.....I'm hoping they go for a smaller venue in Melbourne like in 05, and play 2 shows.

Assuming that Tim will be coming out with them. Think there's any chance of a Dave & Tim show?

Damn they are playing 2 sets at the festival? That's awesome! Plus JM, JT3, Franti, Gary Clarke, Allen Stone. If this wasn't half way around the world I'd be there. But it's just too expensive. So jealous right now.

What are the benefits of having warehouse? I will probably plan to go to 3 or 4 aussie shows down here. I don't have warehouse because they never come here.. lol

Hmmm seems to be a big push right now for international touring. I'd look for Europe sometime next year also. Possibly before Australia, or maybe some summer festivals.

Congrats to you fans down under!

This is pretty much my dream lineup and its only in the initial stages...DMB, JBT, and JM are three of my all-time favorites plus Spearhead, Iron and Wine, Gary Clark, and Allen Stone...this is epic. Wish this was the Bonnaroo or Lolla lineup and not halfway around the world!

Love to see announcements like this, where DMB plays the festival circuit.
Doesn't happen often enough - do they generally avoid, or not like shows that (in most cases?) don't allow the Warehouse to manage ticketing for fans?

Hope this wasn't already discussed but curious approx how many people DMB would expect per night/set in the audience (or what a typical headliner gets there) ?

The Mojo tent is HUGE (It always rains at least one of the 5 festival days so all stages and audiences are undercover) and the largest of the main 3 stages (others are Crossroads and Jambalaya).

It will depend on who they are up against on the the schedule, but I'm confident they'll easily fill the Mojo on the Sat nite, and sometimes the Monday night is slower as festival goers start to get exhausted after 4 non-stop days. However word from Sat nite set will spread ...

Capacity for each day is 17,000. 85,000 for the duration of the festival.
