It was an ok PPV. Good main event - looking forward to Joe/Brock. Hope the Hardy's loss leads to Broken Matt. Bayley/Alexa was underwhelming - what are they doing with her. Actually really enjoyed Kalisto/Crews.

Show rocked last night. Miz/Ambrose, tag cage match, CW match and 5-way all killed it last night. So excited Samoa Joe won the main event. He and Brock is going to be brutal.

As for the Bayley/Alexa match, that was horrible. The only thing positive I can take away from that is they want Bayley to hit absolute rock bottom before she starts her climb. I don't think WWE expected Bliss to be this awesome, which I'm sure has put Bayley on the back burner for the time being. Bayley can work out fresher version of her NXT program with Sasha by working it with Bliss.

It seems like the lines are more blurred now between heels and faces. I love Bobby Roode, the crowd loves him, but he's a heel. Same with Asuka, she's fantastic and the crowd loves her, but she's a "heel". I guess we can base it solely on their character and not on crowd response, though.

Also - I'm not a Miz fan, but I love him having the belt. He's got fantastic charisma, he's excellent on the mic, and he plays a great heel.

I'm fine with Joe winning that match. He's a turd that will get fed to Brock then fade into the midcard. Couldn't afford to have Seth, Finn or Roman take a loss to Brock at some second rate PPV either. Bray is just irrelevant. Brock/Joe will have a compelling build but ultimately it's not that interesting when you know the outcome. Better Joe than any of the actual main event guys though.

I don't hate him. He's boring. He does nothing for me. He's a less funny Kevin Owens who isn't as entertaining in the ring. They literally called him a "prizefighter" last night more than once so it's not like I'm making up the comparison. Can you ever see Joe being anything more than a bruiser? I can't. At least Owens can pull off about 5 different heel characters, and pull them off very well.

Also, the fact that they are just going to feed Joe to Brock kind of supports my theory that they don't view him as a legit main event guy. Unless they have him win it which would just be stupid on many levels.

I think Strowman is absolutely going to be ready, which is what makes the entire Joe thing a filler angle. He's just a one month holdover until the night after GBOF when Strowman comes out as Heyman is cutting the same old promo for Brock.

Edit: I wouldn't even be shocked if Strowman comes out at GBOF to try and screw over Brock. That allows them to play up the monster angle because he'd be back so much earlier than expected (which was never a real timetable).

Yes you do, and have it lead to an eventual Joe v Roman Samoan Death Match, which would rule. You can have Roman talk about how amazing and important his family legacy is, and say that Joe's family is a trash ancestry full of traveling dancers. Joe can argue back that he had to work for where he is, and Roman skates because he has nice eyes and Rock is his fake cousin. Then they proceed to kick the shit out of each other for 30 minutes.

Roman v Brock works better with Brock as the challenger.

Joe is repackaging of Taz with a less engaging personality and a more limited ability in the ring. Same finishing hold as Taz, same goofy towel on the body gimmick as Taz, same ability to make a suit look horrible. Joe doesn't do it for me and I don't understand his appeal to people. One of my least favorites to watch in the ring out of any of the NXT call ups from the past two years.
