On a cold day in March 5 years ago I heard of a little website called Antmarching.org. In an effort to make some tailgate friends, my IZOD seat buddy told me about the site. Curiously, I created my log in and began creeping the IZOD and MSG threads.

After being a member for a day, I was blessed with instants for MSG. I popped into the MSG thread to voice my amazement and celebrate with people who understood my excitement.

Kevin was the first member of the SPAC crew to welcome me to the forums and give me a sense of the community that is the world of Ants.

Next I ventured into the IZOD thread and quickly bonded with Jess V over our shared name and love of caffeine.

From there, shenanigans ensued in both the MSG and IZOD threads.

On 4/17/09, also known as ANTSiversary, I popped my Ant Tailgate cherry in the lot of IZOD theater. There I met a lot of the Ants I know today including SPAC regulars Jess, Brad & Kevin.

After the fun that was my first Ants tailgate, I was convinced to add SPAC to my 09 tour schedule. In that SPAC thread I met Meg, Matt & Jen.

Tragically, due to my SPAC seat buddy’s health, I almost did not make the shows. With the help of some amazing Ants including Jess and Meg, that trip was made possible and my life was changed forever.

Some of my favorite memories include the wonderful people I have met here in the SPAC thread: Big Whiskey Party, Wine Weekends, SPAC weekends, NOLA, my 30th birthday and miscellaneous other DMB weekends.

Shout-outs to some people who have taken part in the ridiculousness and silliness that is the SPAC thread. The glory days seem to have come and gone, but I thank you all for the fun.

I need to head to OC in 2 weeks. The base is NSWC Corona and the closest airport is ONT (20 min) and then John Wayne (45 min). LAX is 90 min away. I would have no problem going in to LAX but my return flight is going to suck with the drive if that's the case. Since you lived down there which is the better travel situation should any delays occur, SNA or ONT?
