Oh yeah. I think that's part of what made that decision so easy for Juice. It's been so long and the gang has been involved with the sheriff for a while, so it's easy to forget. But, Juice's downfall started with Roosevelt blackmaling him. I don't think Juice forgot about that.

I thought a little ways into this last season that we'd get a big Tara/Gemma confrontation. Then going into the last episode, I had a hunch that Gemma would kill Tara. One of the very few times I've been right.

I thought it was coming but figured that would be a storyline they kept until the end. If you were a part of "Team Tara" (I'm co-captain), now you have to sit through an entire season without her. Just seems odd to kill that seemingly early in the show when it was on of the best parts of the show. Not to mention, a few episodes earlier Clay goes down.

All of the S6 finale was predictable to me. Kinda feels like they were just trying to follow a formula with S6. There was only 3 or 4 episodes that were on caliber with the previous seasons. Which makes me think, I couldn't predict a single thing before S6 so that speaks to me how much the season slipped.

On a side note, the theory that Jax will kill Gemma and Unser will kill Jax in return is looking very, very likely.

Manson is a really talented cat. I'm sure he's going to be a good addition.

Annabelle Gish was OK but didn't have a lot to do on FX's The Bridge.

Gish is back for S2 of The Bridge. So it'll be interesting to see how often she appears in the last season of SOA.

Also.. Walton Goggins got nominated for Best Guest Star (Critics Choice Awards) for his role as Venus Van Damme. I thought that was pretty awesome.

S6 just meandered too much and was pretty scatterbrained.

I didn't think the climax was predictable at all thought. I really didn't see that shit coming.

Also, you can count me as a member of Team Tara.

I gave up on S6 about halfway through (the episode when Bobby returns with new recruits), but I know the big things that happened at the end of the season.

I guess because of the Hamlet structure, I figured the Tara thing was coming for a long time.

Didn't they say somewhere that S7 will start several weeks prior to the events that unfolded in the S6 finale? If so, that could mean they might not even get up to speed until 5/6 episodes in.

Ugh, I hope that's not true. I know this show is FX's cash cow but someone needs to put Sutter on a leash. Half of the last season was a bloated mess.

I agree. S6 was too "artistic" or whatever. It just didn't work. Sutter had too much free reign. I get FX loves him and the show but he needs restraints. It just felt way too indulgent and lacked focus. I doubt they'll put the leash on him for his final season though.

However, since Sutter has had this planned out from the get-go, I'm hoping that means he's already got this season well figured out. This could potentially be the best season yet. I have a good idea of how it'll end but with proper execution it'd be awesome.

Season 6 was rough. The fact that more than half of the season had episodes about 90 minutes in length didn't help at all.

S7 will probably have 2 hour episodes. Heh.

I liked season 6, but it really could have used an editor.

    Keep these episodes to 60min.

Since this thread got pulled back up ...

I think the bolded is why he kind of has carte blanche. He's been working with/for the network for closing in on 15 years between The Shield and SoA. He's their creative golden boy.

Personally, I think he needs someone to keep his tendency toward shock and pulp in check.

I agree. I mean he's earned their respect and deserves what they allow him to do. But that doesn't always mean it's best for the show. In retrospect I can see how in the first seasons how the show set up for a gory and very violent ending with it progressively getting worse. The show has been headed this way, however that's not to say it couldn't be handled better. Those 90 minute episodes killed and not in a good way.

Just started watching this show on Netflix. Very impressed so far. Easy show to watch but extremely entertaining. About half way through with Season 1 and from what I've read, at least for the next couple of seasons, the show remains on par with the first season.
