I have a few more questions about the gorge, mostly about camping..
-How do you go about keeping food refrigerated if you don't have an RV?
-Is there a place at the camp site to buy ice?
-I'm stocking up with supplies in Seattle, but if I needed something, where is the closest resource?
    -thanks.

http://www.toupstown.com/Gorge.php this should answer many questions about camping at wildhorse. Much of the same applies to gorge campground also.

Edit: if you need something more specific, ask away. Someone will surely answer pretty quickly.
    as for your initial ?'s
1.get a cooler. I check a large cooler on to the plane.
    2. gorge and wildhorse campgrounds both sell ice.
    3. Theres a grocery store about 20 minutes away. Theres also a hospital there too, just in case.
most people stop at the fred meyer store in ellensburg for supplies/booze. you can get beer at grocery stores, but booze is bought in state run liquor stores

I need to hurry up and do my taxes so I can get my refund. I always have as much taxes taken out through the year as I can and use it as my gorge fund.

    Ugh Monday.....I'm freaking exhausted today.

Actually, after June 1, liquor will be available at grocery stores and Costco. So everyone's favorite, Fred Meyer, should have liquor in time for Labor Dave Weekend.

Seriously!! It can't get much better!!! It's just gonna suck to try and get in as a student since there will be so many fucking people...I guess that's a good problem to have Yeah, I haven't gone to a single basketball game, just cause they really have been sucking. But those two wins over Cal and Stanford were exactly what we needed!!!

haha Well if you watch the Big Whiskey documentary, they show a pic of what the studio looks like on the outside...then just go into Fremont, and well...you should find it (I hate being this secretive, but I just don't know if we can say where it is!)

This site looks great, however, I have relinquished my status as Commissioner of Taking One for the Team and am returning to my post as Commissioner of Power Hour (or Co-Commissioner if Jenn comes back).

I think the "taking one for the team" came from Jennie when I skipped Vegas 09 so I could afford to do Gorge that year. That is the past. Now there is only Power Hour. Drink too much...

Okay so I back read but could not find the answer I was looking for, I know most people are saying go with Premier Camping or Wildhorse, but out of those two which is better, what are the pros and cons to each?

    Thanks in advance!

Made my first trip to the Gorge last year and had Terrace camping. I loved it. Not cramped at all and the amenities are good (free hot showers, shuttle to the venue, and awesome views). Most of that area was RV's and such so if you are lucky you may find yourself next to someone with a pretty sweet set up. I would avoid general camping and stick with Premier/Terrace if you stay there.

As for Wildhorse, I am interested in seeing feedback too. I would definitely consider trying that out this year.

Wildhorse is a great time and is run by wonderful people. It has free hot showers, the fabulous Wildhorse Cafe (which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and after the shows), free shuttle to the venue, and a big hippy golf course for fun and games.

There is a noise curfew, so you can actually sleep at night. The place is safe and I've never worried about any of my stuff being set on fire there. It is the home of the fabulous Toupstown (check out the website for info) and has a wonderfully friendly environment of people there to enjoy DMB and the company of friends from all over the world.

As for Wildhorse goes I agree with almost everything Brian said with the exception that I think the showers there suck. Yes they are free but the water pressure is horrid and the water is either extremely hot or too cold.

As for Wildhorse goes I agree with almost everything Brian said with the exception that I think the showers there suck. Yes they are free but the water pressure is horrid and the water is either extremely hot or too cold.

Sweet. And how does the reservations work? Do you make reservations and then show up with the credit card like a hotel? Or do you just pay and show your receipt? Because I've been to campsites with both. I'm just so excited! I've been saving since I went to Chicago last year, so I'm just like
