Finally got around to this. It's at 10:31 into the song, and it's definitely the Baby Elephant Walk by Henry Mancini.

I don't think anybody has spotted that one before?

there was a thread about these weird interpolations a few months ago. if i remember correctly, Roi has put in the all things considered theme since the beginning (though, it's debatable as to whether or not he did it purposefully). someone should **** that thread again

i made a thread a long while ago, for this exact purpose, but it didnt take off

anywho, definitely an interpolation at the beginning of Ants from the Crashing the Quarter show by Roi of Sly and the Family Stones 'dance to the music', the part in the middle where they go 'dum dum...dum dum dummm dummm' youll know what i mean if you listen to it

In #41 from 2006-08-06 Randall's Island - Starting at about 14:00 during Coffin's first solo, not sure on exact time, Roi and Rashwan start teasing Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love." Most of you might know that sample from 2Pac's "Do For Love"

    DOPE!

12-10-93 Recently doesn't list the interpolations on ants or the almanac - they did Pretty Pretty Girl, Take Me To the River, and Norwegian Wood.

One of us will get to them, I promise. This thread is great, and I've had it bookmarked for a while

The problem is simply that as far as almanac submissions/corrections/additions/updates go, interpolations are some of the most time-consuming (next to lyrics) since we often have to find the song in question, find the interpolation in the song, sometimes find a recording of the original if it's not one we know, and then make a judgment call as to its legitimacy.

I do have every intention of starting on page one and knocking them all out, though. Probably this summer Please keep it up!

(I know, I know. I posted almost the exact same thing in this thread in October!)

One thing that would definitely expedite the process would be if you could start posting exact track times along with the interpolations.

It's all good - I can try to post times of songs from now on, and if I get really ambitious I could start putting them up on sendspace with links to the originals for comparison... we'll see how that goes!

It's a pretty slow process on my end b/c I'm just going through my old collection as I get free time.

I got about half of these up the other day. Haven't had time to verify the rest. The only one I wasn't sure about was the LIOG (GGGoGGGG). I hear the part in question, but it doesn't sound like that to me... any other ideas?

11-06-93, 3:31 into Jimi Thing, Boyd plays the Batman Theme Song.

Dan, I'll go back and relisten to that LIOG when I get a minute. I agree that it's not quite right, but I just couldn't place it.

I emailed the almanac a while back when I was brainstorming with Jake about helping Tour Central. I'll post what I've come across so far here as well.
