Minnesota Twins

It's 2004 and the 2003 AL Central Division Champs are at it again. I feel that there will be much to be discussed here in the coming months.

Pre-emptive answer:
The T & C on the hat stands for Twin Cities, as in Minneapolis & St. Paul.

Re: Minnesota Twins

In an unrelated story... I don't suppose you do Grand Cherokee's, Matt- my buddy has a blown computer in his early 90's era rig (318 motor... Goddamn Chrystler!) and, of course it isn't interchangable with any other freakin' 318. We got one from Autozone- reman, that just happened to be repainted only- the pulse timer on the board was literally cracked when we took it out of the box. AZ is getting a new one, but it'll take 'em close to a month. Everywhere else charges three balls, and I ain't donating one to this cause. Any ideas?

Re: Minnesota Twins

If they sweep the fucking Yankees, then have a strong showing against the Tribe, then you'll see alot of people talking about the Twinkies

They dispatch Texas; then we can start talking about the ALCS.

Re: Minnesota Twins

Please, new thread perhaps?

There were 93 model year ZJ's that were made in 92.

Here we must speak of Ron Gardenhire, Torii Hunter, Jaque Jones, Shannon Stewart, Morneau, Santana, Nathan, and Silvia.

Re: Minnesota Twins

And now Joe Nathan's ERA is down to a submarine 0.82.

What baffled me was that Santana only got 6 K's tonight. That's just over half of normal. I've got stuff going on this week, though, so I haven't been able to watch any of the series. It sucks.

Everybody better make sure to watch out for Santana when Cy Young time comes around.

From Twins website:
Quote:
Since the All-Star break, Santana is 6-0 with a 1.82 ERA. He's tied for third in the AL in wins, is second in ERA at 3.23 while his 196 strikeouts leads the league.

From Twins website:
Watching Nathan close is fun, but he acts too surprised on the mound when things go his way. Maybe he fully understands that there's a luck factor involved in getting wins.

Re: Minnesota Twins

Santana has the best Change-up in baseball next to Gagne. And Nathan was a stop-starter for the Giants.

It looks like Santana will be up against Mulder for the Cy Young, too bad Mulder will probably get it because he has a better record. Harold Reynolds was talking about it on ESPN last night.

Re: Minnesota Twins

Asides from Jason Schmidt, Santana is the best pitcher in baseball right now. Had Morneau been brought up at the beginning of the year he'd be a shoe in for ROY.

Re: Minnesota Twins

I remember the Twins. Have they won a World Series since the Jays won back-to-back!!!

Is Shannon Stewart still there? He's a fantastic player - the Jays worst mistake on losing a player, even worse than not keeping Shawn Green or keeping Clemens.

Morneau wasn't eligible for ROY. He played too many major league games last year, or something like that. He's was just barely ineligible.

Mauer, on the other hand, if he wouldn't have gotten hurt, he would have almost surely takin the title of ROY.
