I just got a brand new Dell Latitude D610... Windows XP Service Pack 2 Pentium M with Centrino Mobile 24x cd/dvd/cdrw drive.... The DVD Plays amazing but, the CD side doesn't work at all it sucks..... But my desk top another dell like 6 months old, reads the cd fine... pretty messed up...

Mine was scratched when I opened it...I don't see how that is possible but it was. Apparantly it has had no effect though because the whole thing worked.

The CD works fine in my car. I use the proper CD not the CD side of my DualDisc as my CD player in my far is a front slot loader. I don't want to ruin the DVD side of the DualDisc and using it in a front loading player will ruin the DVD side.

For MusicToday - what I'd really like to know is why did you choose only 24-bit stereo and not 24-bit 5.1 surround?!?!

On top of that, they lied about it. It's only 16/48 stereo.

The fucking problem here lies not in anyone's PC, CD player, or DVD player. The problem lies in the fact that DMB and RCA found this half-assed effort of thiers worthy of being in either a copy protected format or in non-compliant format. If only they put as much effort into the music on this disc as they did into finding ways to keep it from being copied.

People posting and my dvd-a light not coming on like it does for all other 24-bit material.

I had a feeling this would happen. Most releases in stereo only on dd are in 16/48 stereo.

DVD is non-anamorphic too.

My dualdisc wouldnt play at all in my kenwood stereo, and will only play in the dvd burning drive of my computer. Not really a problem since I back up all my cd's anyway, but it was kind of a bummer after I ripped open the packaging in anticipation then had to burn the damn thing in order to listen to it on my big stereo or in my car.

I put my cd in Audio only side up, and it just said import and I did....and nothing happened it just imported them like a regular cd,....what happens when you try?

This thread is about the dualdisc, not the copy-protected cd. See the thread I made further down the page.

the CD side of the dual disc doesnt play in my computer either. it doesnt even recognize the disc in the drive!
i have an HP pavilion 752n, windows xp home edition, service pack 2, intel pentium 4....my cd-rom drive is a mitsumi cr-48xate

I would suggest calling MusicToday and complain about this.

Both sides worked fine and I was able to rip the CD side in my Sony VAIO with a QSI CDRW/DVD SBW242C Drive. I disabled autorun before putting the CD in because I had heard warnings about the Copyright protection and heard that as a solution.

I haven't put it in my computer yet, but Hello Again cuts out after about 3:40 and goes straight into the next song. Has to be a manufacturing problem. Also the dual disk won't play in my car stereo

i heard about disabling autorun and holding the shift key, but those didn't work for me. it kept saying no disc. i tried going to my computer--->E drive to see if i can get into it that way, and same thing - no disc. also, i tried the CD side in my DVD rom and i still got the no disc message!

all i want to do it LISTEN to thing on my computer, that's it. it works fine everywhere else - stereo, car, walkman, ps2....

dualdisc has no copy-protection. If it doesn't play the cd it's because it's not a standard cd. Try it in as many ROM drives as you can.
