Re: Acoustic Recordings

What's your problem, Scooby? If you don't enjoy somebody's music, please give constructive criticism. A simple thumbs-down is as unhelpful as it is assaholic.

OK, I rarely do this but wtf? I'm no veteran on these boards, but you show up here and these are your first two posts? You don't have to like his work, but as Rob said you need to give some constructive criticism to justify your opinion. A by itself doesn't help explode41 and it makes you look bad.

Re: Acoustic Recordings

Well, I don't want come off like an asshole here, but I figure the guy before me already did a fine job of that, so I'll try to offer some constructive criticism.

First thing I'd suggest is that you try to play the chord progression and maybe hum the melody line a few times to really get to the point where you've figured out where you're headed. Record yourself and listen objectively and ask yourself, is this where I want the song to be? Does this evoke the emotion I'm trying to convey? Does the melody line stay true to chord progression?

The recording itself is technically not bad. Crisp and well defined at least on the second song. I think that you need to work on the vocal melody some more though. It just doesn't work as you've recorded it here.

Re: Acoustic Recordings

i dont think your being an asshole i really appreciate your comments. I know I need to work more on my vocal depth but I recorded the songs with acid pro,, just 2 track guitar and vocals and it pretty much is one take i get a lttle to rushed
