My card was cancelled...Will my request go through?

Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to these boards (but not the band).
I'm really sorry if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find anything on it.

Here's the situation: I requested tickets to Champaign the first day of the request period. Two days ago, my wallet was stolen, so I had to call my bank and cancel the card (but not the checking account, obviously). My question is, will this cause my request to become invalid? I'm not going to be able to access Ticketmaster on Saturday, so i'm starting to worry a bit. Any info would be helpful.

Well, I just called the Warehouse, and the really nice lady informed me that they tried to authorize my charges on the same day my card was cancelled. She told me that she was sorry, and that I needed to try Ticketmaster. I don't see how I'm going to do this. I've already paid for and reserved the hotel. I have to find a way to make it to this show without completely sqaundering my already meager bank account.

I'm going to go off in a corner and cry for a few hours.

That sucks. I hope you get tixs through ticketmaster. I'm waiting to get a pair off the boards.

well if I was near you I would help you out with a ride but I am way too far from TN. Good luck with that. You should have no problem with getting them on TM.

As I said before, I'm really sorry if this thread put anybody out. My situation was reality, not a scenario, so I don't think your gripe is completely valid. My problem with TM was that I'm not going to be anywhere near civilization when they go on sale, but hopefully I can get someone to come through for me. Again, I apologize for taking up your time.

don't apologize to anyone...as long as you haven't lost any money in this debacle just buy off the boards...there are always tickets...

Thats real tough dude. In the 4 years I've been into DMB, I have never once had a problem finding someone either here or the Warehouse boards that is looking to sell their tix. Its really the most reliable and safe way to get tickets to a show when you missed the onsale date. You'll see once the show gets a little closer that someone will have an extra or will be unable to go. Best of luck with the whole situation.

i'm sorry to hear about your situation - that definitely is a bummer. you can always look for tix on the boards, here or WH. people are always selling/trading, sometimes they aren't the greatest seats, but at least you'll be able to go to the show. again, i'm sorry to hear such a crappy thing happened to you. i had my wallet stolen before and it's such a pain to go through without having to worry about your dmb tickets, too. hope everything works out for ya.

and just out of curiousity, do you know how far you are from bowling green, ky? a friend of mine lives there and i plan on moving down there sometime in the next year. just curious.

Actually, Bowling Green isn't far at all. I'd say from school (MTSU) it's an hour and 45 minutes, from my home (Lebanon) about an hour. I've been there several times, and I like it. It's not too big and not too small. I guess it all depends on what you are used to, though.

i'm sure that even if you don't get them on ticketmaster that you can find some in the ticket forum, that's my plan. i can't think of a single concert i wasn't able to find tickets to on ants after i missed the WH and TM ticketing.

Even after this point you can try to get tickets at the door, most of the time someone is selling tickets they didnt want, and then there are always the tickets avaliabe on ebay. Things always look worse than they really are. For instance, im twiggin out about the student presale, which is BS IMO, and im just trying to relax and know that the tickets WILL be there on TM.

If you wanna try ticketmaster, I assume by one of your previous posts, you're a college student. Do you trust your roommate or someone else enough to leave your credit card info with them, and have them try tm for you? Or if all else fails, this is the type of thing mom's are for right? have your mom get on tm for you.

Dont apologize, welcome to ants bro. I really hope you get tix. My recomendation would be to have a friend help get you tix since your going to be outta town. Good luck to you, I wish I could help you out!!!
