This is my first official post on the musiscian forum! I've been a long time fan of Dave's songwriting, and like all of you have found his music to be a huge inspiration to me as a musician and writer. One night after watching my Live at Folsom field DVD for the umpteenth time, I felt inspired and picked up my guitar and cranked out this tune complete with my best 'Dave style' voicings and what not... well flash forward a couple of months and playing with some friends, and we hash out this version where I used my main instrument, piano, for the backing. The song took on a completely different feel and we ended up coming up with a great middle jam section. We've written several other tunes, and now we're working on our first album. I like the tune, im a big fan of piano in rock songs. You sound like you have a good voice too! Keep up the good work!
