The Standels-"Dirty Water" @ Fenway

So here's the deal. Looking at the poster for the show...(shown in attached yousend it link)...makes you think they'll pay respect to the whole Boston/Red Sox/History deal. Not for sure. But just makes you wonder. The only legit song I could see them jamming out or covering is this tune.

The Standels-Dirty Water. It's played when the Red Sox win a game. But it's been a Boston classic since it's release. The Charles River is Boston's famous (don't drink/swim) river.

I could even see The Standels song being jammed into Anyone Seen the Bridge...almost like what they did with Superfreak. Who knows though? They probably won't...just a dreamer.

That would probably explain the crappy set on Tuesday and the shortened encore yesterday.

Imagine Timmy picking up on this song. Just imagine Dropkick Murphy's version with a DMB twist.

The Standels "Dirty Water" Fenway

In all this build up for Blue Water returning to live shows, I have been trying to collect some shows that include Blue Water. Anybody got any favorites?

I just listened to the podcast and there's no mention of that.

Re: The Standels-"Dirty Water" @ Fenway

I'd love to know where they heard it. Someone said something about Sweet Caroline and he said "been there, done that." But like I said, it was just a rumor I heard, so I'm not putting much faith in it.

Nice call. I was pleasantly surprised when they did it. I thought they'd end up doing "Sweet Caroline" again. The place went ABSOLUTELY NUTS! I love how they used the screens to show US during this song parts of the song - freaking out.
