NFL Football 2006-2007

It's (FINALLY) that time of year! Training camps are in session and it seems EVERYONE has a shot at greatness (except the Eagles of course...kidding). How's your team going to shape up this season? Who's going to de-throne the Pittsburgh Steelers from their Champions perch? Who's coming to my hometown of Miami for Super Bowl XLI?

My vote is for my Miami Dolphins, but then again I've been saying that since the day I was BORN just four months after the Dolphins' last trip to the Super Bowl, so we'll see what happens!

Discuss...discuss! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!???

Re: NFL Football 2006-2007

Wondering when someone would start this thread ! I have high hopes for my Dolphins, but they've let me down before. This season I really wish I could afford direct TV. I'm pulling for my Fins and the Redskins in the NFC.

Well you can pull for who ever you want. But that doesnt change the fact that the panthers will go unbeaten this season and win the super bowl. And no one is even close to beating them.

If Eli Manning can really get it together in year 3 the Giants will be a very lethal team

If Ricky Williams wasn't suspended I'd have really high hopes for the Dolphins.
If the Bengals defense can improve they should be strong if Palmer is close to 100 %. I can't wait for the season to start. The off season is too long and this is the worst time for sports.

I started watching the NFL when in 1988 or so. I hated no team more than the 49ers. Now I'm hoping they will become a respectable franchise again. The NFL is better when the Steelers, Redskins, Giants, Bears, Cowboys and 49ers are winning due to the history of teams.

I didn't know that Chris Collingsworth had moved from Fox to NBC. John Madden has now worked for all 4 networks calling games.

Yep, and for the first time, they are going to get first dibs on the best game of the week for last 2 or 3 weeks (forget what I read). Meaning no 49ers-Lions game on Sunday night. Should be outstanding!

I am sooooo pumped for this season. Seeing Daunte play for not only my school (UCF) but now my favorite NFL team?! SOO EXCITED! Not to mention we have some key matchups and some nice primetime coverage this year. First game of the season at Pitt on NBC; Thanksgiving Day game at Detroit!!; and Christmas Day MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL against the J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK!!!!

I hoped the Dolphins would have gone after another WR. Chambers will be doubled alot this season with Daunte at QB.

Don't you think Ronnie Brown is better than Ricky anyway?

The Bengals should still be good, but you would have to think that their locker room is completely poisoned with the horrendous legal offseason they had. They have to be a prime candidate for a little backslide.

NFL predictions are tough because the league is so unpredictable on a week to week basis let alone months in advance.

My only prediction is that a lot of people in this thread will wonder what the hell they are thinking when they look back at this thread in January.

We Dey bitch.

I think that the Steelers are in a very good position to repeat, but the AFC is going to be full of great teams this year. New England, Denver, Indy, KC, San Diego, and Jacksonville will all be good teams that have potential to make a run for the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh returns 19 of 22 starters and the three loses, Kimo, Hope and Randel El are replaced with talent that is equal or better. Ben will be in his third year now and they've talked about opening up the passing game more.

Coming up short may very well be true for the Colts ( even as a Colts fan I can't defend Indy's knack for choking) but if you really think Peyton is an overrated QB, you need to brush up on your football knowledge. The numbers he puts up year after year is not a fluke.

Yes we know he hasn't the big one, but there are QBs in history who had solid careers who never won the big one (Marino comes to mind) - are they overrated?

GO COLTS!
