We just finished Memento. We'd never seen it before, but I'm a big Christopher Nolan fan. I loved it. We were planning on stopping halfway through since it was going to be awful late, but we couldn't stop, we HAD to know how it ended. Very good film.
I just recently put Memento in my top 20. There are very few movies that where I watch them multiple times not too far apart from each other that I don't get a little bored on the more recent viewing, even if they are some of my favorites. However, after watching Memento on Saturday night, after only seeing it again three weeks before, I was not bored at all watching it a second time very recently afterwards.

I could probably watch it again tonight and be fine with it. It's one of those movies where, the next time you watch it, it makes a lot more sense because you understand what's going on. Like The Prestige, for example. You understand why characters say certain things and how they did certain things the next time around, but it doesn't bore you. I love movies like that.

Yeah, Life Aquatic is

I’ve been meaning to, but I can't bring myself to rent it for some reason. I love Bill Muray’s latter day dead pan acting and I liked Lost in Translation a lot. I know I’ll like this too, but for some reason I just can't force myself to do it. Guess I’m not in the mood right now. Someday, I promise

What are all of his dead pan movies; Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Lost in Translation, Life Aquatic, and Broken Flowers? I feel like there’s another one I'm missing...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Watched Babel last night... interesting concept but in the end the movie didn't really deliver. The movie revolves around one random event in Morocco and how i ends up effecting a few families all over the world. Long and full of tragic happenings...6/10. I didn't even make the effort to rip/copy it...

Raging Bull is one of the best American films ever made.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

American Beauty - First time viewing and absolutely phenomenal filmmaking. Superb screenplay, acting, cinematography, direction, musical score, and use of motifs. This should be shown in every basic Film Studies course. 10/10 and the best Best Picture winner of the last 10 years. I wish I could change my vote from The Departed.
