Warehouse Tix + Handicapped = ?

Hey all,

So my fiancee and I really want to go to Mansfield both nights this year. We've been countless times before, no problems...but this year there's a hitch:

She's getting ankle surgery shortly before the shows. I'm not sure if she'll be in a wheelchair or not, but she'll definitely be on crutches at least.

Now does anyone know what the Warehouse's status is on handicap tickets? I would, of course, not be handicapped, but we'll be going together. Would I be able to get a ticket with her?

Also, here's another monkey wrench. I just looked on Warehouse's site, and they require a doctor's note to verify handicap status. No beef with that. Keeps the creeps out. But here's the thing. She hasn't had the surgery yet, and she won't before the ticketing window closes!

Has anyone else been in this situation? Anyone have any helpful hints?

Thanks!

Go to the doctor, tell them the situation, they'll verify it for you with the note. Even if she's banged up but not in a wheel chair she'll be on crutches so the handicapped area will be much more accommodating. I can't say for sure, but I think it would be ridiculous if WH shut you out of being with her due to the seating arrangement/surgery status.

Talk to the doctor, and start there. Give WH a ring too. Shouldn't be too much of a big deal.

I've got no beef with the handicap situation. One of my best friends is a quad. Most venues have a mid-range area for the handicap. At Dallas it was even elevated so they could see the stage when everyone else was standing. However I didn't appreciate those in the handicap area that stood and danced blocking the view for hundreds of others. Have a little respect!

At the very least, assuming she's on crutches, maybe they can give you seats in the front row of a section

Re: Warehouse Tix + Handicapped = ?

Here is what I know.
A friend of mine was wanting to join the Warehouse and he is deaf. This means that he requires an interpreter at concerts. He contacted the Warehouse and they told him that they could not provide special services and that he would be better off getting his tickets direct from the venue. My advice would be to contact the venue(s) that you are planning on attending and ask them what they can do. My friend does this every year and he is able to reserve his tickets with the venue before they go on sale to the general public.

Re: Warehouse Tix + Handicapped = ?

Thanks for the responses all. I sent an email to the WH (their voicemail pretty much said they're swamped). Still waiting on a response, but from the sounds of it, it won't be too big a deal.

I definitely look forward to the shows this year!
