The Avett Brothers
hey guys!
just wondering if there are any ants out there that enjoy the Avett Bros.??
i went to see them at Koka Booth in cary (NC) it was the best concert i've ever been to... possibly because i was 6 feet from the stage and only paid 28.00 for the ticket... were any ants there??

anywho... just wanted to get some feed back!

wasn't there but I've seen them live a few times. They are absolutely amazing. Their studio stuff is great, but like DMB their live stuff blows it out of the water
If you don't know the Avetts, look them up. asap!

They're awesome. One of my old roommates turned me on to them a couple years ago, and I just saw them at the Newport Folk Festival a few weeks ago in RI. They're really fun live, too.

Oh - for those who went to the Charleston show, the opener Old Crow Medicine Show (who was awesome, by the way) is very similar to the Avett Brothers except the Avetts are just three people so I think they sound a little more blue grass-y than OCMS. But I love them both!

what CD would you most recommend? I saw these guys in Raleigh and Charlotte opening for the boys, i really enjoyed murdered in the city.

My second favorite band right now! (and that's only by a hair!!!)

I have a hard time recommending any one album but I can throw a handful of songs at you:

talk on indolence
if its the beaches
salvation song
november blue
pretty girl from chile
my last song to jenny
the ballad of love and hate
new love song
travelling song
me and god

There's WAY too many that are incredible!!!

ALSO- if you love the sadder stuff from the avetts check out the everybodyfields

I actually looked up this thread again last night and almost topped it again too because no one really helped me the first time. I want to listen to something too bc I'm about to see them here in Atlanta.

I might try the above recommendations though

So this is a longshot but does anyone here have a tab for those green eyes off of their debut cd? I can usually tab out songs by ear but this song is pretty ridiculous and there are no tabs anywhere online. Any help for that riff would be appreciated
