Who are your favorite baseball players and why?

Ken Griffey Jr. – He was the professional player who seemed to most closely share my love of the game as a Little Leaguer growing up.

Kirby Puckett – Pretty self-explanatory as a Twins fan. Not only was he great on the field, but always took the time to sign an autograph on his way into the Metrodome before games.

Vlad Guerrero – The violence of his swing. The rocket attached to his arm. His ability to hit pitches, and hit them hard, that most players cannot. His refusal to learn English. The fact that he doesn't wear batting gloves.

When I was a lot younger it was Griffey hands down. He always looked like he was having fun and lets face it, the man was cool. No one else thought to wear the batting helmet backwards...

Up until last summer it was Manny. I don't care about all his antics I loved Manny. Pedro was also the shit.

Fav player besides pedroia is buchholz...im pretty sure he'll be fine in the future.

I remember b4 they brought him up Schilling said that Buchholz has the best stuff he's seen in a long time.

He was my hero growing up. He represented highlight during a time when the Yankees were just awful. He was #23 and had the coolest mustache ever.

Chase Utley is my favorite baseball player. Utley can hit for power, slap a single to right field, hustle out a triple, or take a ball in the middle of the back to get on first if the team needs it. He is a average defender but is working on it each year and continues to anchor one of the games best middle infield's paired with SS Jimmy Rollins. He is everything a baseball player should be, he's a superstar talent who takes all the games glory and passes it off with a nonchalant attitude and not the typical me first persona you seem from major sports stars.
