Radiohead is actually good. If you have created one of the only masterpieces of the last 15 years (OK Computer), then you deserve all of the accolades. Radiohead is probably the most consistent band of the last 15 years, as well.

Coldplay never deserved as much love as they get, but the same could be said for hundreds of other crappy groups over the use. Coldplay has some talent, but compared to U2 and Radiohead, they really don't belong in the same discussion. U2 is pretty mediocre these days, but you can't discount what they've accomplished and some of the great records they have created.

I haven't really heard any U2 bashing. I mean, I don't really like them, but I don't really bash them either.

I can't speak for U2's music, but Bono just annoys me.

As for Coldplay, I don't like them at all. Their music just bores me. Maybe I haven't listened to enough, but what I have heard hasn't made me want to hear any more.

I can't comment on Radiohead, I haven't heard more than one or two songs and they don't really stick out as anything amazing, but like I said, I'm not going to comment.

Radiohead is an album band though. It's about getting in a certain mode for 45 minutes out of your day. Listening to only one or two of their songs ever without sitting through an album doesn't really do them justice. Some bands you can do that, Radiohead, not so much.

It's hard to compare bands of different eras. Even though they are all active, U2's best days were in the 80's and early 90's. I would say Radiohead's best work was mostly in the 90's, and Coldplay is just this decade.

I feel U2 is overrated now, but not for their contributions overall. Don't really listen to the other two.

Wow. Everyone has said whether or not they like each band. The OP was asking are they the most OVERBASHED, not overrated, not which is your fav/least fav.

Also, I think picking any three bands and trying to paint them in the same brush is not fair. Are all three overbashed? IMO, yes. But look at it this way. Nickelback's music sucks whereas we can all agree coldplay, radiohead, and U2 all have some talent, whether we like it or not. Yet, we talk about how bad Nickelback is ALL THE TIME. To me, they are overbashed, because they have made no music worth noting, yet we (ants) talk about them everyday.

U2 might have been good at some point, but they absolutely suck now and deserve every bit of crap they get. Coldplay is alright and nothing more. Decent but boring. Radiohead is brilliant and innovative although I don't love every song. They are incredible. Much better than the other two ever were at their peaks. I really hate Bono and U2.
