DMB heading back to Europe

This according to the front page:

Dave has confirmed what everyone has pretty much expected for 2010; Dave Matthews Band is returning to Europe. In an interview with Guitar & Bass, Dave let his German fans know that DMB is planning Two shows in Germany in the Spring of 2010. Clearly, there will be more dates in Europe, and expect the Official Site to make an announcement before the end of the year.

The guys really seem to enjoy their time in Europe. Thoughts??

".....and it has been leaked that DMB will kick off it's 2010 US Summer Tour just 7 days after the conclusion of the Europe Spring Tour with it's annual 2-night stand at the famous Alpine Valley Music Theatre..."

    Oh wait.........

No in all seriousness good thing they're doing it in the Spring, we don't want another Alpine N1 this year. The whole 2nd half of the tour was very lazy aside from a few shows and killed the momentum they had that week before they left.

Alpine N1 was not THAT bad. One of the better encores of the tour IMO with PNP/Rapunzel > Ants. The Stone, LITHOG, Nancies, Crush, Seven. Ya Smooth Rider and Bayou made their return but it really wasnt as terrible of a show as everone makes it out to be.

It was a good show setlist wise aside from the 2 SU debuts, but I felt the energy was lacking. Even at the beginning of Ants Dave makes a comment about "sometimes you gotta go tried and true.." which to me meant "we know we're a little sluggish, thanks for putting up with us tonight while we got our legs back under us".

I would imagine that it's bigger news at this point that they're going back to Europe again; USA's pretty much been a given for over a decade and a half?

Thank God they're doing Europe to start the year. Get the kinks out over there so we don't get the shaft like this summer. The Europe run absolutely fucked the tour this year.

Europe is happening before US, so why wouldn't they announce that first?

It would be really cool to see them play over there if you were backpacking through and could check them out. Europe is way cool in small 10-14 doses.

Europe is happy. And Europe does not care if it ruined the second half of the US tour this year , because the forgotten European fans got a chance to see some great shows.

no, wait. Europe is very very happy!!!

Well, to be exact it's "dankeschön" (one word). But don't blame the Americans for not having an ö on their keyboard!

I just hope they slip a few more dave/tim dates in feb or march, do a small euro tour, then crank it up for another exciting summer in the US!
