**Dave and Tim Washington DC 5.20.10

12.03.09
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds to Perform a Benefit for the Jane Goodall Institue – Washington DC – May 20, 2010

We are pleased to announce that Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will perform A Benefit for the Jane Goodall Institute on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at D.A.R. Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. The benefit concert is part of a year-long celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Jane Goodall’s work. Throughout the 50th anniversary year, the Jane Goodall Institute will celebrate Dr. Goodall’s illustrious career, the rich legacy of the Gombe research in Tanzania, East Africa and the many answers Gombe has yet to reveal.

In the 50 years since Dr. Jane Goodall first set foot on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in what is now Tanzania’s Gombe National Park, the research she pioneered there has produced a font of scientific discovery. The impact of the Gombe research spans the globe and covers a wide range of scientific disciplines, including human evolution, ethology, anthropology, behavioral psychology, sociology, conservation, disease transmission (including HIV-AIDS), aging and geospatial mapping. Additional information on the work of the Jane Goodall Institute may be found at www.janegoodall.org

TICKETING INFORMATION FOR THE BENEFIT FOR THE JANE GOODALL INSTITUTE

Tickets for the Benefit for the Jane Goodall Institute are $95 plus a $1.50 facility fee and applicable convenience, handling and shipping. Tickets Requested! And it's walking distance from wife's office! Walking distance from apartment really - but office is much much closer! Haven't seen D&T show since 1999!

I will be there.

Don't know if it'll be thanks to a Ticketmaster or Warehouse ticket, but I'll be there.

Re: **Dave and Tim Washington DC 5.20.10

Actually, now that I think about it, it'll almost certainly be a TM ticket -- I have much better luck through them (doesn't help that I've been a WH member for like 9 months, lol).

I'll just use the money i WAS going to spend on a Mark Knopfler ticket, on this instead

Is Grace the same weekend as D+T? Another Ant told me to go to that show after I got back from Vegas before I headed back up to Humboldt (I'm flying from SFO).

That's Sunday, right? Probably won't work then since I'm supposed to be at Work Monday 5 hours away. Too bad, cuz I love the Fillmore. Saw Offspring there in '94.

I think its a nice place to see a show. It has a unique feel to it since its not like a standard "theatre" venue (think Beacon Theatre). But it is small and from what I remember very intmate feeling.

Holds 3700, I think. But it seemed HUGE when I had my high school graduation there back in the 90's. Haven't been back since. It's gonna be an awesome homecoming. And I WILL get tickets for this!

Re: **Dave and Tim Washington DC 5.20.10

Put in my request last night. Going to get tickets for this one way or another I hope.

Saw death cab for cutie here a few years back and really liked the venue, had an intimate feel. I recall the lobby and hallways not having much room though as they were packed with people. I can only imagine how much tighter it will be for D&T.
