I actually like a few songs on BOTT more than any song on Aha I just think Aha is a better "album". BOTT is one of my favorite albums though. Just a little behind Aha Shake.

"Use Somebody," is just absolutely horrible. I'm thinking, what the fuck is the point to this song? It's pretty much talks about just doing absolutely nothing and then wanting to get laid...and that's about it. Based on this, I refuse to listen to another song from them. I'm convinced that they have absolutely no reason to live other than producing horrible pop music akin to Lady Gaga and the shitlords.

no..they left after it was played. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some KoL. I just thought it was funny when I read that...it was in the US somewhere.

no they haven't gone downhill IMO. i'd put Aha Shake and Because of the Times ahead of Only by the Night, but even their beginning stuff is solid. it's definitely all different and progressive. start with Aha Shake for sure.

The first 3 albums are like bad ass Southern Rock. This last album IMO was made with the reasoning that it would be all over the radio and get them huge. Which it did. Call it selling out call it what you want. Right now I call it smart. The next album will be make or break for a lot of their hardcore fan base. I will still love their first 3 albums no matter what but I'm hoping they head back to their roots next time around.


for the record I don't think Only by the Night is horrible as an album in anyway. It's just not KOL.

I have AHA and BOTT on vinyl and listen to them a couple times a week each. They still haven't got old.

i wouldn't say Only by the Night is horrible at all. I enjoy it. It drew me into KoL, which I'm sure is what they wanted. even though once you go back and listen to their old stuff you can tell OBTN was directed for the masses, it still has that unique KoL sound.

You didn't read that thing on page 1? In europe, they were not liked by the fans at some show they played and had a hissy fit. Made "rude gestures" at the crowd and cussed the crowd out.
