Re: Louie

I'm watching the S2 episode where they're driving out to his old ass aunt's house in Pennsylvania. The car scene with his daughters was awesome.

Excited for the return. I spent hours on YouTube the other night watching videos of his stand up or various talk shows.

Re: Louie

Just announced his new tour, and how he's tried to make tickets as cheap as possible, so every ticket is $45.

Said he's playing some new and smaller venues in order to do so, so I scored some good 4th row center tickets to his show here in Athens. Not until November, but can't wait!

This is half off what you would pay to see a shitty comic like me do a wednesday night in NYC.

Amazing price for what is probably going to be at least 2 hours.

Plus since Louie pays his own salary, I would pay 75 ticket if that means he works, films and produces as long as he can

valid argument.

but i can't help but feel someone will record the set and/or he'll release one night. not to mention, i'm not sure how much of this tour will be new material.

Pulled lower balcony, center, row A for the second Chicago show. His last tour was fantastic; I'm pumped for his new material.

Awesome. I will probably hit up the AC show then. Was thinking about the Saturday NYC show but I'll just go with this instead.

Late show or early show? Because I, too, have row G at Hartford

I'm dead center in the orchestra, about 10 rows back including the pit, for one of the biggest names in comedy today... and I spent $90 total. Louie is the god damn man.

Re: Louie

That whole opening diner scene with Gabby Hoffman was nothing short of pure genius (though I still can't help but see her as the much younger girl she used to be, it's strange seeing her as a character dating the likes of Louis CK). I honestly thought the entire time that he didn't really wanna break up with her, he just couldn't find a way to convincingly say to her he didn't, without her finally shutting up. To realize at the very end (at least, I'm assuming this, based on his reaction) that he in fact DID want to break up with her... just brilliant

oh and btw, Louie is the main cover story on the latest Entertainment Weekly mag.

Re: Louie

I wouldn't expect this show to be funny every episode. Really is not a comedy at all. Probably the most undefined show ever.

I thought it was really good. Not the best Louie episode but right up there on the high end. Amazing how much of an acquired taste this show is.

Re: Louie

I really enjoyed how over the end credits they showed like an extended version of Louie and the other random citizen trying to make sense of the parking sign(s).

GUY: "And it's not even red, it's just green."

LOUIE: "Even if it was red I still wouldn't know what the fuck it was supposed to mean"

that and "After midnight" but c'mon, it's always both before and after midnight somewhere"
