**Best Moments of Summer 2010**

Not sure if there was/is already one of these, but I thought it would be a cool thread to have since this summer had so many awesome moments, both big (The Last Stop!) and small(Stefan's Star Spangled Banner solo), fun(Recently->Cornbread->Recently) and epic(Cortez the Killer at West Palm).

This Jimi Thing was awesome. I'm still debating if this or the Wrigley Jimi Thing was better though.

I'll go through every show I went to this year and pick out my favorite moments:

SPAC: My first trip up to SPAC, and only my brother's 3rd and 4th shows after going to Alpine last year. Got my first BEF, KKJ, Grace, So Right, Hello Again, Cry Freedom, and Idea of You that weekend. It wasn't like SPAC last year, but it was a very fun time. Best moment had to be singing happy birthday to Stefan and the Last Stop tease on N2 that was almost a partial.

Alpine: July 4th weekend, my 2 friends' first time up to Alpine, and it didn't disappoint. Zac Brown Band was great, the band put on 2 amazing shows and brought the house down like they do at Alpine. Best moment was the Blue Water partial on N1, an epic Stone, and then the entire N2 show which left me absolutely dead. The most fun I've ever had during Jimi Thing with the entire crowd singing Thank You was amazing. Couple that with DIDO, Say Goodbye, and IBYU and you've got a great show. Oh, and Bartender. Enough said.

Tampa: Really solid set. Probably the sleeper show of the tour. Warren on Crush was the highlight, and the first full BlackJack!

WPB: If there was ever a weekend that I could go back and re-live, it'd be this one. So many memories and great friends were made that weekend. The shows were just amazing and arguably the best of the tour. Definitely the best 2 night stand of the tour. Last Stop, Cortez, my first BOWA, a crazy overflow outro to Two Step (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiQgwJn5IU0) and Dave doing the jump at the end. I can't even begin to describe it. It was perfect in so many ways.

Gorge: 3 nights, no repeats, Last Stop>Dreaming Tree to kick off the weekend, and spending the weekend with great people yet again? Awesome. My first trip to the Gorge will not be my last. There is something amazing about that place, and every fan should make it up there at least once.

Ive seen jimi at like 75% of my shows and I had recently gotten a little tired of it, but experiencing the whole crowd chant thank you for throughout the whole jam was unreal. I was 3 rows back from the pit and I remembering looking back at the entire crowd chanting just in shock, it was awesome.

I love Jimi Thing live... thats probably why it is hard for me to pick between Alpine and Wrigley. Wrigley gave it the Alpine treatment and then added in Sexy MoFo as well. With half the crowd singing Thank You for letting me be myself... again and the other Half sing Sexy Mother Fucker Shakin that ass shakin that ass. The mixture and timing was perfect. Almost like the outro was meant to be that way.

Alpine still probably gets my vote. I was dancing in the aisles happy as a person could be

Gotta say, I'm loving this thread so far.

Anyways, Wrigley N2 was my last show 'till 2012, and I cannot think of a better way they could have closed the summer tour, and my last show, with The Last Stop. Sweet muffins, I love that song. The outro kicked ass as always, and the part towards the end where everyone is clapping and Dave just looks out at the crowd was a literally unreal experience. R.I.P. 2010 Summer Tour, you will be missed dearly.

my best experiences...riverbend being my first ever show..it had its ups and downs..the pouring rain and seeing my first show was awesome.

deer creek Night 1, was the best concert to date since these are the only two ive ever been too...not too crazy as far as sets and acutally very similar, but the energy DCN1 had after the two hour thunderstorm delay was unbelievable...JTR couldnt have been better and an awesome two step>antsmarching to close the set was great. got to get needle and the damage done and a relaxing SDL to close the encore, wish there was one mroe song but i can live, that night was great. one of the best of my life. DC even in the lawn is the one of the best venue's to go to as far as sound quality and better for the visual from the lawn as well

kind of weird that anything involving Cornbread would be considered one of the best performances of the year. i was at Hershey and Recently>Cornbread>Recently was in fact amazing. its just weird to hear Cornbread be involved in something so good.


and how has nobody mentioned the return of the OSW Intro? i know it was a little rough the couple times they played it and didn't stick around, but still. it was one of the small things that made Scranton so good.
