Re: Sons of Anarchy

I finished S3 earlier today.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised because I figured that the season finale would be

Click the "Show Spoiler" Button to reveal hidden text.

The pacing had been slower than other seasons, so I fully expected Sutter and the writers to stretch that across the rest of the year. When almost all of that shit went down in the same episode with three to go, I got excited because I thought, "Oh, damn! Where the hell are we going now?"

I still think the finale's caper works out a little too well given all of its twists and turns, but it was still awesome to watch and it brought us back to what I feel is the central, defining question of the series — Jax questioning his loyalty and allegiance to the Sons.

Edit: S1 > S3 > S2.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I may like Season 3 the most, just because I watched it all in like one day.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Anyone else not liking Lincoln Potter? I think the part is being over-acted...too eccentric. I felt the same way about Forrest Whittakers character in The Shield (Jon Kavanaugh)

Just seems fake to me.

Just finished s3 today as well. What an awesome ending to the season. Love the show.

Only problem is that I didn't realize 4 was starting and I missed the 1st 2 episodes and since taped episodes 3,4. In the TIVO, it didn't show any re-airings. Do they not usually reair past shows ever. I can wait a week or 2 if they usually do a marathon at some point. If not, where can I see episodes 1 and 2. Thanks

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I have two issues with this season thus far (although maybe these are things I should wait and see how they play out)...

Then again.. I watched the first three seasons rather quickly, so it's possible I'm overlooking something that's very obvious.

Yeah, i asked about this shortly after it aired. I dont recall them stating out in the open on the show that it would be a problem.

I just download the episodes from the Megaupload links and watch them that way. I don't even bother trying to stream 'em.

I don't see why Juice's name wouldn't come up before anyone else's, but the preview for next episode hints that he isn't the first suspect. I mean, that was sketchy.

S3 came today, fuck yeah. Gonna burn through those, got the remainder of S4 setup to record on my DVR and I think I'll use that link above to catch the first few episodes of S4.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I'm one behind (watching the newest now), but something is bothering me. Would the Sons really give a fuck if tattoo head was part black? They're not skinheads or Aryan nation. Other chapters have latino folk in them. Dude's been a brother for years. I guess I'm not seeing why this secret is such huge leverage for the Sheriff.

And, fucking damnit, I wish people would spoiler warning talk about the previews. Some people don't watch those because, well, they contain fucking SPOILERS.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Yeah, I like many of you, I don't quite grasp the concept of the Sheriff playing the race card but the good thing is, we will definitely get closure on that subject sooner or later. It surly won't go unresolved. I've been loving this season, I like that they've started trafficking blow for a cartel, they've started messing with real money which makes it interesting. Clay is still doing whatever he can for money, because well, lets face it, that's all he cares about. Even at the expense of his "brothers" lives. I absolutely love that the show is an hour long, half an hour just wouldn't be enough for a plot this deep. Not that it's mind blowing but there's always something happening and developing away from the main storyline. Unlike a comedy every word seems to be written for one reason or another. Very little is filler. Love it.

Agreed with all of the above.

Perhaps the writers agree about the BS of the race card, and when the shit comes out about tattoo head, the crew won't care about the black thing but will fuck his world up for working with the cops. His own insecurity about his heritage will lead to his downfall.

That will play better for me than if the black thing actually turns out to matter to anyone but tattoo head and the sheriff.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I mentioned this in another forum but I feel like Juice has taken a lot of dialogue away from Tig, who was my favorite character up until this season. No he has like what, 5 lines per episode. which sucks.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I love Juice (I guess I should learn his name and stop calling him tattoo head), so I don't mind him getting more lines. Always enjoy Tig too though.

Related to Tig, where the fuck did Kozik (he'll always be Lem to me) go? I was excited about him joining the chapter, now he doesn't seem to be around at all.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I dunno, he's always kind of had a smaller role. he was voted in when they were in jail though, right? I believe because Tig couldn't vote him down, twas in the season premier. I like him too but he wasn't a member until this season.

I agree with you though, Juice's character is great, always been a favorite. I just liked Tigs character too, weird fcker for sure.

My favorite characters. Jax, Tig, Juice, and Opie. Hate to admit it but I do like Clay for some reason too. I mean I like everyone of them, those are just favorites.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Yea, he was never a major role. His biggest exposure was just the conflict of his getting in, related to his beef with Tig. I guess I just hoped that once he was officially in, he'd become more of a central character.
