So I already strongly dislike 25% of the album. Feelings like that make it an average radiohead album but it is still better than a lot of crap that comes out these days.
Just curious - how would you rank their albums? tKOL is not horrible, but it's still on the bottom for me.

1) OK Computer
2) Kid A
3) In Rainbows
4) Amnesiac
5) King of Limbs
6) Hail to the Thief
7) The Bends
8) Pablo Honey

Limbs and Thief are pretty much equal to me. On some days I like one more than the other. The Top 2 are pretty much flawless as albums but I LOVE In Rainbows. It might have the best collection of songs but OKC and Kid A as albums are superior.

In Rainbows is really what opened my mind to radiohead. Before IR I could never understand why radiohead was considered one of the greatest bands of the last two decades. I think a lot of that had to do with my age, I was only 9 when OK Computer came out. But after IR everything changed. I think most of the fan base thought IR was one of their best but there was a sizable minority who really did not like it. I feel like a lot of those people who thought IR was a miss are the same ones who really dig King of Limbs. I don't know why this is.

Re: Radiohead already going back to the studio!

I love how 3 people have all rated radiohead's albums and none are identical. I think that's a testament to how diverse they are--always changing. On the other hand it seems like most of our lists of DMB's albums are usually a lot more similar.

The songs that didn't make Limbs (Supercollider, Butcher, Staircase, Twisted Words) are better than the ones that did.

Nope, wouldn't know where to look. It was just on about a week ago. It was on at maybe 4 or so, so it might've been All Things Considered? I don't know.

I like it a lot. Much more than In Rainbows in fact. Although it doesn't have one track anywhere near as good as the immaculate "Nude" IMO.

Re: Radiohead already going back to the studio!

Hopefully this next work will have some pop to it. I'm falling asleep just thinking about KOL. Easily my least favorite album of theirs beside Pablo and it doesn't even beat that one by much.

Re: Radiohead already going back to the studio!

I'm baffled by anyone who thinks that KoL is better than The Bends, In Rainbows or Kid A. That's just crazy.

Codex is the only great song on Limbs, but it would be about the 5th-best song on In Rainbows, The Bends or Kid A.
