my parents got us a cargo hitch thing for xmas 2010 and have yet to use it. going to PNC with the cornhole ratcheted to my roof bike racks on the trailblazer was a little nerve wracking. hah.

might use it for the fire & ice grill instead of cornhole since that takes up more room inside the TB. maybe both will fit on there???

Hey everyone how is Raccoon? I have been staying at Bennett Acres the last 3 years. I didnt know what the difference was between the 2. I really hate the fact that you cant book spots @ Bennett Acres and by the time i get there @ 3pm Friday all the spots are taken. Any advice or info on Raccoon would be great!

If you prefer a traditional campsite, with shade, fire ring, plenty of room in your designated area, as well as access to HOT showers, and the option of having electric at your site - Raccoon Creek is the way to go. The only negatives are the short drive (about 5 miles if I remember correctly) and the "no alcohol" in the park rule.

If you prefer the all night group party atmosphere, Bennett Acres is your place.

Raccoon is also a much better value for your money, and in my opinion safer as far as your things being secure while you are at the shows. I've stayed at each place once. I had a terrible experience at Bennett, and a great experience at Raccoon.

So I've done Starlake for the past few years minus PNC obviously, but have always done the Lawn. And I was thinking of getting Pavilion seats. What are some pros and cons to Pavilion seating. Im usually fine with the lawn, but getting annoyed lately with the high drunk levels of the fans. Not paying attention, and the high school aged kids just being obnoxious as usual. Don't get me wrong I love the lawn at times but it has its downsides, and because Im a broke senior in college the lawn prices are better for me. Just didn't know spending that extra for the Pavilion will make it that much better of a show...

I think 2 out of the 3 times I had pavillion seats I had a 7 foot giant in front of us and we couldnt see anything..... but if it rains you'll be dry!

ok I thought they had a "no alcohol" rule... but I didnt know how strick that rule was. I also dont want to be arrested for drinking, or be the only guy to not show up with beer because i thought it was an "alcohol free zone"

we always get lawn (except 1 yr) at starlake....and yes there are real annoying high schoolers sometimes, but maybe you'll get lucky.

If you need to make a beer / bathroom run, odds are much better of actually making it back to where you came from. I get pavilion seats, but depending on their location and/or weather, I'll do the lawn.
