DMB at Darien - July 3

Heyo! Pulled 3 Pit tickets today thru Citi presale. Looking forward to having the day off on the 4th and working off the hangover!

Hoping the cover of the circus tent will be a bit better than the lawn was in '10!

I was in the Pit for the last Darien show and it kind of sucked to be honest. If I had Pit tix I would try to trade them for some 100's. Darien is always a good time and has had some of the best set lists of the tour's IMO

i had the complete opposite experience in the pit (surprisingly)

It was the height of the stage that did it for me. I ended up against the back of the pit on the gate, I would have traded for seats had I thought about it. I have been lucky enough to sit 2nd row a few times and forgot about how high the stage is. I am using my WH tix this year which being a Jan 02 member will prob be sucky 300's

got that right.. Depending on what time you arrive/where they park you, it's a disaster. Took literally 2+ hours to exit out of the grass lot after the Goo Goo Dolls this past summer. Parked in the paved lots near the park for dmb in 09 and had no problems.. On my way out immediately following the show.


Got approved for Pit tickets.. will be there with my brother. Can't wait!

Waiting for the general public sale, but what are the sections like? Is it Pit and then just lawn? I've never been to a Darien show.

So is the pit all of the 100's or just the first half or so? It does seem that most of the crowd is there for the party scene and doesn't appreciate the set they get. Parking should be interesting this year. I would guess the day before the 4th they get a pretty good park crowd. Usually when the show is the beginning of June you don't have to worry about that. I like to try and snag a spot right by the enterance. If you get stuck back in the grass you're there for hours and then need to worry about getting stuck in the mud or running over broken bottles.

Speaking of great sets, I started listening to the 2008 show this afternoon. It reminded me why putting up with the horrid parking and drunk teens is worth it. Mid-set Two Step, #41, Crush. I could go on for a while.

Question about confirmations: Are all the seats the same price? And where you end up luck of the draw or are the various sections (100s, 200s, 300s) indicated by the price of the tickets?

The reason I ask is because I have a shot to buy Warehouse tickets at $85 each (I'm assuming thats ticket price + fees), but am wondering if that would indictae where the seats are or if they could range from front row to the last row for the same price.

For Darien, all of the Pavillion seats were the same price. We'll have to wait for the WH to determine where the seats are - they could be anywhere in the Pavillion. And yes, the $85 is tickets plus fees & shipping.

And anywhere can mean the last few rows of 400s and all of the 500s that are actually outside. And if it rains the water pours off the tent right into those seats. I've never sat there, but it can't be all that fun when that happens.

The last few years I've parked across the street at a private residence. It's the place up on the hill across the street from the silos. Takes just a few minutes to get out after the show.

Exactly! I'm pretty sure they charge $20, but it's so worth it. Weeds out most of the youngins and it's a chill area. Yup, seating is done by seniority.

Pretty sure in 2010 we all paid $10 or $15. So I'm figuring the price would be $20 now. I'd pay it for sure! There's a few houses on Sumner that charge for parking. The one I'm talking about is across from the VIP exit up on the steep hill. The other house are a bit cheaper, but no bathrooms and smaller parking areas.

I'm confused about the pit at Darien... TM didn't give a pit option, but in the fine print it says there's a 2 ticket limit for the pit. On top of that, my friend scored a single in sec 100 row 9. So where the hell is the pit?

pit is in front of that. i pulled one thru Live Nation. Pit isn't the entire 100 level I don't believe.
