If you have to use the bathroom during the show, if you are looking at the stage (house left), there is a snack bar and bathroom to the left. It is down the stairs between Orch and Loge. Never a line for either. Kind of a trek if your seats are house right, but at least you watch the show as you make the walk to and fro.

Wow crazy. I took my then 5 y/o son to the 2010 show and he had to pee right after the show started. We hit the head and got a pretzel in like 5-10 minutes. Guess timing is everything.

Re: DMB in irvine. Not a rumor

Irvine is the worst fucking venue in the world for DMB. The crowds are awful. Literally no one dances or sings or gets into the music at all, people just stand there like zombies. People in orange county go to concerts because it's the thing to do, not because they give a shit about the band playing. LA and OC crowds are awful

personaly take offense to that. not sure what shows you have been to or who you have sat next to, but my 1st show was in irvine and everyone was dancing. yes its not the prettiest thing to look at and yes OC people tend to be tards for the most part but DMB goers all around are family i think, just sayin. spread love not hate.

Re: DMB in irvine. Not a rumor

This will be my first Irvine show. Lots of haters it seems but how bad can it be? I've got a place to crash so requested tix. If the crowd doesn't blast me with glow sticks (gorge) or pee at my feet (panic show), I see this as being another good show. Yes no?

Cops choose where to start battles....never had a problem drinking at dMb there however they went crazy at ZBB despite the fact that there were kegs stands going on 2 rows away

It's a fine venue. Irvine was where I first saw the band in 1999. I don't know how it compares to the places you mentioned, having never been, but I like it.

Re: DMB in irvine. Not a rumor

I am making the trip to Irvine from Indy this year, from what I have read so far though I am not looking forward to a large percentage of a crowd. From experience and knowledge DMB shows are made of DMB fans, yes some go as friends of fans, or because they like festies, but not for the most part, am I to assume Cali is not like this? B/c that would suck, really and truly.

I hope it is a good time though!

Oh, dear, we will have plenty to do while out there. My Dad would be a good one to ask about pre-show spots/events.

Re: DMB in irvine. Not a rumor

We are planning on driving up to Mountain View for the concert on Sunday as well. According to Google Maps that's like an 8 hour drive from Irvine to Mountain View. Would it be best for us to try and get north of LA on Saturday night so we don't have to travel as far on Sunday, or would it even be safe to travel that late at night. Any local insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm doing the same thing. We're going to hit the road early Sunday morning and hopefully make it with lots of time to spare.
BTW...hey there fellow Canadian!! Haha.

Wow, Cape Breton! You are travelling quite a bit further than us; we're only coming from Saskatchewan. (Y)

Getting an early start on Sunday morning is likely what we will end up doing as well, but if we get North of LA that night, the drive the next day will only be like 5 hours. ...it would be nice to have the extra time to actually enjoy the country (wine country) we will be driving through, but DMB definitely take priority.

Yeah, it's going to be a little bit of a trek haha
We're still trying to figure out where to stay to make the best out of the trip. I've never been to California and I'd like to be able to see a few things and enjoy it as much as possible. Will you be going into San Fran before the concert or will you stick to the Mountain View area? We're hoping to leave early enough to check out some of the sites in SF but I hear the drive from SF to Mountain View can be long and I'm not sure if time will work in our favor or not.

Traveling in the middle of the night is by far the best way to drive through LA. It would be smart to head out and at least get past LA before you sleep. Past there traffic isn't as bad and can be done in the morning.

Our plan is to drive straight to Mountain View Sunday, and stay in the area for the night. I believe that Mountain View is south of San Fran so you would be doubling back if you went to SF first. We are flying home from SF on Wednesday, so we will likely do most of our touring of the area then.

Are you flying into LA, or where are you starting off your trip? Are you hitting up Chula Vista on Friday too?

My trip is kind of short but sweet. I'm getting married in October and this trip is kind of my bachelor party. I'll be going to Dallas for 5 days then I'll be flying into LA on Friday the 7th. We're going to an Angels game that night then we'll be hitting the beach on Saturday before the concert. We'll be getting up early Sunday to head to SF to see a few things before we head back to Mountain View for the concert. Then...we'll be heading back to LA on Monday morning and we'll be going to another Angels game that night. Ugghh...lots of driving but I can't wait. I have Chula tickets but I don't have time to do all 3 shows.

I've heard there's usually a get together at the Spectrum in Irvine before the show. I can't remember the name of the bar but I'll be there for sure

I've decided to add Irvine to my shows. I'll most likely fly into SoCal from Oakland then fly back early Sunday for Shoreline! I'm excited for this show, it'll be my first Irvine show.
