Re: **Official Pine Knob (DTE) 7.10.2012 Thread**

I'd like a Warehouse. I realize DTE has gotten it for the past few tours, but I haven't been here since '06 and still haven't had it yet.

Seek Up for sure. Only heard it once. And we got screwed out of it in 07 because of that storm.

It's cool that they played it, and I hate to be a Debbie Downer -- but it really pisses me off that Dave is yet again, not playing his guitar. I realize it's an awkward tuning to have to change to midset (though he could have ask one of the crew to do it form him a song or so early), but it's not a hard song to play at all.

Ever since Tim joined in '08, he not only over-powered everything with muddy and heavy distortion like a fucking metal band (which he eventually, and thank God, toned down a bit), but now he's doubling Dave's parts half of the time so he doesn't have to play them. Tim is incredible musician, I just think it's bullshit that Dave's guitar has been the hardest instrument to hear for the last four years, especially given the intricacies of some of his riffs. It would sound so much better on a lot of the songs if Tim would just grab his acoustic guitar -- so much cleaner. He's starting to become to me what Butch became (with his excessive organ usage) to others. /rant

No I get it. When I saw that Dave wasn't actually playing I was kinda disappointed. Was still psyched to hear it. Was also cool they added it. I'm not sure about the acoustic guitar they just need to balance him and Dave out a bit.

You're right, Michigan has never gotten a Halloween. Tim, that Busted STuff video is great. That's a tune I was genuinely suprised to hear. I was expecting the standard Bombtower for the encore but this song injected a nice breath of fresh air into the show.

But yes, I miss Dave's guitar on it, too.

Yeah 07. Ahh "Rain Delay." I've only heard it once and that was 7 years ago.

Re: **Official Pine Knob (DTE) 7.10.2012 Thread**

Since my friend is getting mine my brother in-law gets mine and they are RTC Row S. About where they were in 2010 but those were RT and not RTC. So imo, better. That's with a Feb 02 account. Sounds like a lot of the larger venues people are getting hurt who have seniority.

Not sure where I'm sitting yet.

looking back through ticket stubs, I have gone from Row D to row H, moving from RT to LTC. Must be the VIPs or the season ticket holders at DTE (economy is picking up for some companies to purchase these thinsg again)

I went from row GG to now row S. Mine last year were row Q. So they had got better and now have stayed about the same.

I'm not sure if you're saying the performance or the lawn won't be what they expect, but in my previous experience, DTE has great sound and a reasonable view at even the back of the lawn. I honestly think DTE is one of the better lawns out of most of the venues, to be honest.

Alpine's for example, is garbage -- if you're in the lawn and not near the front of it, you can't hear a thing. Of course, pavilion will likely always trump the lawn (this is my first year under pavilion at DTE), but DTE's lawn is pretty pleasant in my opinion.

The sound and view is pretty good there. Never been for DMB so I can't imagine the frat guys and under age teens getting trashed but been there plenty of times for other concerts and yeah the back is still great. Saw Aerosmith on the back of the lawn in 01.

So David Gray at Meadowbrook? OAR at Meadowbrook? If I have to pick one it's David Gray. Never seen him and want to.

Looked for OAR tix this morning, pulled row L on first attempt, figured I would skip it. I used to easily pull first 3 rows for them at Meadowbrook now with the three levels of VIP can't get anything close.

It's too bad, I love going to the shows, however only really love being upfront.
