yeah I got row K. Not as good as 2 years ago I was like E or F. 15th row is still good enough for me to go. I had to do it a few times to get that though.

Yea, its just disappointing that bands have to do that. Much like DMB with their VIP seats. I certainly understand because scalpers are going to re-sell and make money, but it hurts those of us who want to see the band and be up close.

I hate that it's on at 1pm. Tivo-ing it but will have already seen the score I'm sure by the time I get home. As I have also posted on facebook, I'm excited for the season to start, the most I have been in a while. However, the season is sooo long it will be hard for my excitement to stay up to this level. For those who follow hockey it reminds me a lot of that 2002 season with the Wings.

A little chilly downtown today-- but a great day for baseball nonetheless... 1 down, 161 to go. Shame we couldn't get Verlander the W though- he pitched a whale of a game.



on another note-- if anyone hears of any extra Pavilion tickets for the DTE show, please let me know. I'd like to buy tickets for some friends/family since there could be something to celebrate that night.

haha... I don't want to get too far ahead of myself--- still have a lot of logistics to work out...

but long story short- I met my gf last year at the Lakeside Caravan-- really quite amazing that we had never met before, we have a ton of mutual friends-- and we live all of 2min away from each other. Beyond that, you'll have to use your imagination at this point.


...Yeah-- I have a few friends helping me out on the WH boards, keeping one eye on the boards, and one on instants. Already had one person on here offer up a pair-- great people all around.

Yeah certain shows can be easier. And I paid $0 to sign up on davidgray.com to do the presale. For OAR two years ago I got 7th row and this year 15th which still isn't bad.

Still can't buy a damn goal. Tomorrow is gonna be huge. I have to say, at least the Pens and Canucks are down 0-3. That made yesterday a little brighter.

Yup... the calls in our series have been terribly inconsistent-- I know calls get magnified in the playoffs but its a bit out of control. I read on ESPN today- Lebrunn had a piece that speculated some of the lack of control is due to a younger group of refs-- where as the Kerry Frasers of the world have retired.

It still perplexes me how a guy can get a "goalie interference" penalty when he was hit into the goalie by a defensemen...

We'll be tailgating. We usually meet up at a bar down the street (the name escapes me at this moment) a little before lots open, then we caravan into DTE and hang until the show.

I've never had a problem with security in the lots before the show, only afterwards. What happened in 08'?

We were there just hanging out, drinking and grilling. No Frisbee or anything that would block the driveway or anything and some guys came up and were questioning us. Then they came back and said we had to dump out our drinks and go in. We disbursed, not wanting to get kicked out, but a few of us ended up stopping by another tailgate and talking to them and ended up staying there until show time and were never bothered. And other larger and rowdier groups were never bothered. Still have no idea why they picked on us.

Wow. That is seriously lame. I have never had an encounter like that and we're typically some of the louder more disruptive people in the lot. At least in 2010 that was definitely the case, although i did catch some shit for standing near the back of the line for the port-a-jon and yelling shit like "OMG HES GOT A GUN!" and "I hear dave is over in the grass lot right now" trying to shorten out the line

'08 tailgate was terrible. Those guys were serious assholes.

In 2010, we had no issues up near the fron tof the parking lot.

For Jack Johnson we even grilled and put the tent up on the grass area between the two paved lots.

They definately have no rhyme or reason on who they choose to mess with. I have been times and not a peep others given complete crap and like you said told I had to go in to the show.
