yeah around that time they usually start telling you traffic died down and to get moving. in 2010 the trucks were actually leaving the lots after being loaded when i left.

there is a bar right at the end of hurd road on 17B that is called The Dancing Cat, a local musician built it as just a place for her band to perform. Its pretty chill and always live music, but on occasion performers show up there after shows.

sweet. I was originally planning on camping but if post-show tailgating is cool I might just hang around for a couple hours and make the hour and 15 minute drive home.

A couple things:

1) I have never been to Bethel Woods. I know that DMB has only played there twice, including during the subpar 2009 tour, but both shows seem kinda weak. They even erased Raven in favor of Everyday which is just cruel. Are we likely to get a similar showing this year, or is the sample size just too small?

2) Is there camping around the venue? I looked up some nearby sites and it looks promising, but are they within walking distance? How much would a cab cost back to the venue. I can't imagine the town to be that big.

1. 2009 was mediocre but so was the whole tour season, 2010 listen to the LIOG gives me chills.

2. nothing with in walking distance besides a bar that has camping and drum circles and stuff like that.

is this assumed to be a 'random' night as far as warehouse tix go? i was thinking about joining the warehouse tomorrow and going for reserved only tickets... i dont want to get shafted to the back of the Pav if i get confirmed though when i could probably get better seats on here or LN

I had pav seats last year, i think my gf purchsed them on stubhub and they were towards the back but theres really not a bad seat and honestly if you dont get pav the lawn looked just as good, unlike a spac bethel is a wide open space on a nice rolling hill looking down into the stage. my friends had lawn and they loved it. no muscle bros fighting or underage vomiters. such a great venue

I have five people coming with me to this. 3 have never been to this venue before and never to a venue outside of Hartford. I told them it is NOT like Hartford in anyway and that we absolutley have to check out the museum. So excited for this and the other shows i will be going to. I want a Best Of Whats Around SOOOOOOOO BAD this year.

So a buddy of mine and I are planning on making this trek...

A couple questions for you Bethel vets:
1) Is any camping walking distance away? Or, do campgrounds offer shuttles to and from the venue?
2) If we were to do a hotel instead of doing the camping route, are there cabs in the area? Or does anyone know of nearby hotels that offer a shuttle?
