i think i got denied bethel, and then got 2 instants from it, but pulled a closer section the day before the show. either way, ill have to be there

No there's really no room for it. Just a small space in frknt of the stage room enough for like one or two rows of foldable chairs. But you can see everything anyway. Its small.

and the stage is like waist high, unlike some venues where its over your head. everything about bethel is so small, but it all adds to what makes it a great venue.

Hey Everyone. I am thinking about doing Bethel this year as I can't afford SPAC or Alpine. What's traffic like around this venue? I am thinking of driving up after Hershey.

i always got there earlier in the afternoon, around 3-4pm and the traffic was minimal. i wouldn't want to get there too much later than that though because from what i've heard, you could sit in line for an hour trying to get in. on the way out, you'll sit for an hour getting out of the lots, but once you get out to the main road (at least on the south end) it clears up and everything is fine.

Thanks. I never realized how close we are to this venue. Sucks its only 1 show.

ya, its only about 75 minutes from scranton. i just hop right on the highway and take 84 for like a half hour and then a couple country roads and you're there.



you should definitely go early and go to the woodstock museum. give yourself 2 hours to go through it, more time if you're really interested in reading about every little thing they have in there. i'd say you'd want to get there by 3 if you want to do the museum. that'll give you enough time to get in there, go through it while dealing with the crowds, and grab something to eat before the opening act comes on. there's other stuff to walk around and look at too, so even getting there at 1 wouldn't be a waste.

its in the middle of nowhere. the locals on here might know of some small places, but i doubt you're not going to find a holiday inn. i never bothered with a hotel because i could be home by 1am.

in 2010 i stayed at a howard johnson in liberty, ny but that was only because i waited too long and the days inn booked up.

it's only about 25 minutes to the venue if i remember correctly. the drive was really nice along the winding back roads.

1 - I'm not sure, I don't think they sold out in oh-10 and oh-9, but this is a weekend show this year, so who knows.

2 - Lawn is awesome.

3 - tailgating is pretty awesome. Majority of the parking is just in a field so lots of tailgating. They have porta-potties set up too.

Nice I think I am sold! I think that is why I never considered this place before because they were never a weekend show...

Like I said this place is closer than Hershey, Nicer X10 from what I can see, and i dont have to bang a PTO day to go! Thanks for the help!
