Went to the Charlotte show in 2010 and loved it. My biggest beef with the place was the traffic. Before and after the show, traffic was awful! It took me over an hour to get into the venue parking and then I didn't move in the lots for over an hour and a half after the show. Made my 4 hour drive home a little more difficult.

I live in Harrisburg (town where the venue really is) so here are a couple tips for you on parking (if you want easy in/out).
1) Stay away from 29/Tryon. Take 49, but don't take the main road into the venue. Turn onto Oak Leigh Rd. (next to CiCi's Pizza) and follow that all the way to the venue. It will wind you through a crappy neighborhood but will pop you out at the fire station next to the venue. Exiting the venue you can do the same, as opposed to filing outnthenmain roads with everyone else.
Ps. If you are coming up from the South on 485, it may even be worth your while to take exit 36 and shoot up Robinson Church to 49. It will add 5 miles to your drive but will eliminate ALL traffic if you cut through the neighborhood as described.
2) If you get there early to tailgate, you will be forced into one of the main lots. Can't do anything about that. If you get there after 5pm or so the upper lot will be open. If you look on Google Maps, this is the lot directly across the street from the apartment complex....right where you see Harris Houston Rd spit out onto Pavilion Blvd. if you park in this upper lot, there is Zero wait time when leaving. Combine that with the neighborhood cut-thru I described and you just shaved 2 hrs off your round trip.
