***Chula Vista 09/07/12***

Took a cab from a hotel downtown in 2010, think it was about $65 each way but split between 3 people. A lot better than a DUI and worrying about who drives. I think the drive was only about 45 minutes but there was no traffic.

I couldn't wait until Chula Vista to see a show- made an impulse decision to visit the family in STL and take my little brother to his first DMB show. Still we have lawn tix for that show, I'm looking forward to being in the Pit for the Chula Show!

Instead of thinking in terms of the show being two months away, I choose to think we are only 8 shows away. 7 away in about four hours.

Well, I can't tell you it will be easy but in 2010, the 1st year of pit here in Chula, I went in 5 mins before the start of DMB (well after the opener ended) and I was about 10 ppl back dead center. The pit isn't too packed by any means so it might offer you the opportunity to get up close if that is what you desire. Good luck!

I am considering making a trip out to San Diego to catch one more show this summer. I would be heading out to Cali by myself and for the first time. I was thinking about heading out Friday morning and taking the red eye Saturday morning. No hotel and a taxi to and from the show. I may no longer be able to head to as many shows in future summers because of a probable promotion at work, and was thinking this might be one last hurrah! Is it worth it?

I love Chula. This will be my fourth trip from Colorado there. Since they always skip our state, I like to think of Chula as my new home venue. So I'm biased, but you should make the trip.

Sounds good to me, my first show in 3 years so i'd like to get up close as possible, always adds to the show i find :-)

Either way though I am pumped to be getting to another show and the album releasing a few days later!

Got surprised with Chula Vista tickets for my birthday. It will be my first time being at this venue. I'm coming in from Dallas Thursday night and plan on getting to the venue pretty early. What is the tailgating scene like there? Are there any bars nearby that people hang out at before the show. It will be my GF's first time going to a Dave show with me so I'm excited to give her the whole Dave experience. She lives in SD but has never been out to the venue. She surprised me with tickets in section 103 row L. From what i can tell on live nation this looks like a good spot. If we are on the outside of that section is it a real tough angle or still pretty good?

Tailgating is good with not too many restrictions and people get there fairly early. There are no bars very close to the venue as it's pretty much the only thing out there besides houses. Getting there early and tailgating would be your best bet. There is an ants tailgate so you will have plenty of people to hang with. Happy Birthday and welcome to SD

So if you have a low #'ed seat then you will be toward the aisle and if it is a high # then it will be toward the outside. The views can get a little weak toward the outside aisle, yes. Should be a great time regardless. Make sure and join us for the tailgate too, it's a blast.

So I'd love to see The Last Stop, Dreaming Tree, PFWYG, and Spoon at the Chula show. How 'bout you, what do you want to see? Don't get me wrong, I don't expect any of those songs but I can certainly hope for them. Plus I think we should choose a song to "campaign" for. Thoughts?

How about beachball? I'd love to hear PFWYG as well
