Re: ***Official Harriett Island Thread***

Anyone know what the schedule is going to look like from a timing standpoint? I heard they have to be done by 10pm, so I guess that would put DMB on stage at 7:15?

Nevermind, it came yesterday - I had it shipped to my husband's work.

Hey guys and gals. I don't post much, but just wanted to drop in a say...JUST OVER TWO WEEKS! Yeah!

Got my 2 day passes in the mail a few weeks ago. Besides DMB, I'm really looking forward to seeing MuteMath on Sunday...a top 5 favorite of mine.

If you are still planning on buying a 2-day pass, don't go through Live Nation. Go to the website below and get it by donating $125 to Minnesota public TV. It's cheaper than LN and a good cause. Not sure how long they'll have this offer.

Not a bad idea. I'm on the hunt for a 1 day pass. I don't think my dad is offering to buy it for me anymore, since I unintentionally blew him off... Oops.

Gates open at Noon. Who wants to meet up around 9 am Sunday morning to wait for to run to the rail?

Count me and my 2 boys in. I am still trying to figure out the parking and such, as I am not too familiar with the city. We will be coming up 52 so any suggestions would be most welcome!

Re: ***Official Harriett Island Thread***

I was just thinking about how amazing and appropriate it would be if they played Still Water>Down By The River >Don't Drink the Water> Blackwater. Doubt that will happen but, seeing as this festival is on an island in the middle of the Mississippi River, Covering Black Water by the Doobie Brothers would be so fitting. They covered it several times back in 2007. Also hoping this minarets resurgence continues to this event. I've seen them 5 times but never at a festival. I'm curious to know what kind of festival setlists they play. I hope its not loaded down with Big Whiskey songs.

I'd prepare for 4-6 Big Whiskey selections.

http://www.riversedgemusicfestival.com/shuttle-info/

There's a link to parking guides and shuttle stops. It might be cheaper to find a free park and ride, then bus to downtown St. Paul. This is what I will be doing, although I am familiar with the city. If you're looking for an easy route with access to downtown that will drop you off blocks from the island, I'd suggest either the 3 or the 16, both connecting downtown Mpls to downtown St. Paul. There is a free park and ride on Como Ave and 280, just north of 94, that will give you access to the route 3 bus. I'll paste the website for the bus services below too.

Thanks for the info!! I wonder what the odds of getting in the limited parking if we get there by say 8 am. Barring that, I need to find the closest park & ride to the island and see if it's walkable..If I get on a bus, I will end up oh so lost must be the polack in me

Tiffanys Sports Bar is having a shuttle also. There is plenty of parking near the bar and its a nice area. Hope that helps.

Re: ***Official Harriett Island Thread***

Metered parking in downtown St. Paul is not enforced on Sunday. I suppose there's a small risk that you get caught going over the time limit, but it's another option for everyone.

I remember talking to you about the Jiffy Burger! I had that a couple months ago and loved it. Also went there a couple weeks ago and they had Surly Furios on tap which is my fav right now. The wife and I talked about getting something other then a burger next time we go. Have you had anything other then a burger there?
