You know, it'd be easier if you didn't request or purchase them.

Re: Petition To Stop Premium Ticketing

I have nothing against the Premium Ticketing policy. In my current financial situation, it was very beneficial for me. However, being a long time fan, there were many years where I was having to save and scrounge and borrow so I could go to just one more show, just hoping the Warehouse would hook me up because I could not afford to pay more than face value. I am a bigger supporter of the old ways of everyone getting a fair chance. It allows first time fans the opportunity to sit up close for their first show, and it rewards seniority. I could just out pay the next person and sit wherever I want for the shows I choose, but I like it better when it's fair for everyone.

It seems like the Warehouse is controlling the regime here. They don't allow us to be "capitalists" and resell our tickets for a profit, for the betterment of the whole community. Now they want to raise ticket prices for premium seats by 300%. Its just hypocritical on their part, and thats what is angering the community.

And that is why I am happy to sign.

Asinine-

PEOPLE-

Fact: Live Nation runs Warehouse

Fact- best seats in the house are premium tickets

Warehouse members get first crack at premium tickets

This will not change, premium tickets are here to stay

Re: Petition To Stop Premium Ticketing

Hell fucking no, I'm not signing that. Most you have no idea what you're even signing.

I've been with the Warehouse for 13 years. Take my word for it. SENIORITY MEANS DICK.

They've never, ever respected seniority, everything has always been random plus a little intentional finagling. Adding premium seating was the smartest thing they have ever done. This cuts down on stubhub by allowing folks with money to buy into the good seats at a fair price.

Most of you never even go through stub hub for tickets. Most of you put your ticket in the hat and hope to get something decent, because it's all you can afford. This applies to many of you. The Warehouse is your one stop shop for tickets, and whatever you get, you get. You don't go hunting elsewhere at higher prices.

Well, many others DO. And because of that, most good seats end up on stub hub, and are purchased for double the original price or greater. THAT was and is a big problem, and it gets addressed by this Premium Ticketing through the Warehouse. Smart move. Much more important than giving a pit seat to a 2 year member in the random pool. MUCH, more important.

Re: Petition To Stop Premium Ticketing

Funny the way it is, if you think about it
Ten year fan club member is in lawn
and a new one is in $250 premium seats

Remember when there used to be
integrity, seniority and humbleness?

This band and mgmt have always attempted to help the little guy and there actions used to back their words, but not this one. It sucks but greed has gotten to the lot of them.

Last I checked:
1. tickets prices rise every year with lawn going for more than $50
2. the band/mgmt continues to sell licensed merchandise (tshirts, posters, etc) for absorbent prices - how many emails from mgmt do you get selling something
3. now charging extra for premium seats

Tom Petty has done the same thing over the past few tours. Pay for the fan club and then pay for substantially marked up tickets. He even took our season tickets at our local venue to sell to his fan club. Here I am paying an already expensive price to only have my tickets yanked from me and then given tickets that weren't even close to the value I paid for them. (thanks to the local venue mgmt, I was able to find something decent, but F tom petty!)

I'm waiting for this to happen for this tour. DMB has never done it with the warehouse before, but theres always a first and if it happens I'll probably blow up. Bands are becoming their own scalpers. Business smart - yes, but when you're all about helping others - no.

Re: Petition To Stop Premium Ticketing

They've sold more tickets than any other band over the last ten years, excuse them if they capitalize on their own success. At least you get a poster and snuggie with your ticket.

No other band has as many spoiled fans as this one.

This is patently false. From the time they started seniority - summer 2000 - through the time they started doing a lottery for tickets - spring 2002 - I didn't get a single Warehouse ticket outside of the first 15 rows. Even then, I was in the first 15 rows for every seniority night.

You don't think scalpers were signing up for Warehouse just to request a ton of premium tickets, knowing that if they got them they'd be able to skirt the all will call policy for pit tickets?

Look at Camden N2. From what I've heard, VIP encompassed the first 7 rows of 102, which is about 180 seats. There are currently 34 tickets in that area on StubHub right now. That almost 20% of VIP. How do you think those tickets were obtained?

This! I found Pit tickets for Gorge on StubHub and I emailed them regarding the will-call only policy for pit tickets.

StubHubs response,

"Thank you for contacting StubHub. I apologize for any confusion and I
completely understand your concern. From what I can see the tickets
listed on our site are correct. We are aware that all Pit GA tickets are
for will-call only, however there is an exception to this, Premium Pit
passes are available as ticketed items that can be delivered to buyers.
If you had a specific date or venue you were looking at please email us
back with the specifics and we can take another look."

I forwarded to Warehouse and was told they were "looking in to it".

I knew about the TicketMaster/Live Nation merger, but I had no idea Live Nation bought into MusicToday. That is the worst news I've heard recently. Live Nation will ruin (apparently already are ruining) the WH ticketing process. I don't know how much this petition will do if Live Nation is involved in the decision making process now.

WH continues to fuck me hard and without lube. When asked how I've gone from no worse than 10 from the stage to 10 from the lawn they tell you everything is normal, nothing has changed, there is just a greater demand by senior members. Did they even look at my join date?
