2012 DMB Memory Book

One of my first experiences with DMB was with a gal creating a memory book to deliver to the band at deer creek many years ago. As time has evolved I am thinking it might be neat to do an online memory book for the entire tour -- pics, stories, art, letters - anything really .. It's all about spreading the love, appreciation, the memories...

I did a collage the first year.

yeah or nay -- you decide (please vote if interested)

I am sure the band would enjoy it.

EDIT: (here's the info you're looking for)

DMB Memory Book
Welcome DMB Fans - Care to Share?

Let's share in the love and the inspiration of all that is DMB - Please submit stories, pics, videos, music, art, letters - anything really that you would like to share with the band and your fellow fans.

Please email dmbmemorybook@gmail.com with submissions.

Enjoy and Take Care!

In the 2009 film Star Trek you can find R2D2 in one of the scenes. Will we be able to find the USS Enterprise in Star Wars Episode VII?

This sounds like a cool idea. Maybe make a webpage where you can submit things and the webmaster can post it?

Sorry, I meant where would the stories be posted for the book? I have a few fun/interesting DMB trip stories I would be willing to include to the cause!

Re: 2012 DMB Memory Book

Its something that could easily be done on facebook then after the tour is complete someone could take all the photos, stories, whatever and put them into a book. I figure it would be easy to keep venue's separated with different photo albums, posts, stories, etc.

Just a thought, and this over all idea is good as well. Getting it all together will be the difficult part. Kind of like the time someone was planning on starting a chemlight show at the gorge in between the 3rd and 4th song when she threw up a red chem light then expected the rest of the venue to follow. Unbeknownst to her there were chem lights flying the entire show so where her "Red" or whatever special chem light it was that she was planning on using went up it looked just like all the others that were floating around the air at that point. Good initiative, poor judgement. Hate to see something like that happen with this!

Thanks for your input everyone. It is a large undertaking. We are considering a website and chances are it will be for more than just 2012.

Happy Fourth of July everyone! Wouldn't it be great if we introduced everyday in that manner!

Wanted to give you the update on the website. We are creating it as we speak and there is a tab for music, art, pictures and stories.

If DMB inspires you and you would like to share - email dmbmemorybook@gmail.com with your love. Have a beautiful day.

Re: 2012 DMB Memory Book

Great idea...

For 2012 at the woodlands I sat on the lawn (which i despise) because there were several girls i would rather watch the show with, even though i had a pretty good lower seat. i let everybody go down for a few songs but i didnt go down to my seat the whole show. got lifted on the lawn and was one the the top 10 shows ive been too just becuase of the company. thats my 2012 story.

Re: 2012 DMB Memory Book

I have seen DMB 187 times now & since my 1st show I have taken b/t 5-15 pictures of who I was with at each show, what venue, city, state, date, cool shots of people doing cool things, shots of the band on stage when I was in the top 5 rows, etc...

Under each photo I rite a caption of who's in the photo, what there doing, date, etc....a lot of funny memories & stories. I also add things like "Busted Stuff Tour" with the cover of the Album before the Tour starts. My 1st scrap book is filled up of my 1st 100 shows & book #2 is almost filled up with shows 101-187 up until summer 2012.

When friends who are in the book & look at it, they laugh their asses off! When the Winter comes my wife & I look at the last Tour or 2 & just laugh.

In the book, I also have pictures of me & and every band member I meant & have photos with them when I met them, except for Timmy & R.Ross.

My next step is to turn it into a DVD with music added in the back round, real shots of each venue, etc..

Any more ideas for the DVD would be helpful.

Once mine is made it will be on this site FYI, most likely some of you have met me as I also put all of the new people I meet at each show in my scrap book.

Peace!
Matt
