Crowds have always been bad. Listen to the SPAC 1997 tape where Dave says "Man, fuck you guys!" Ed can vouch for this. I thought it was a great set. I didn't notice an overwhelming amount of drunkards. I would definitely go back.

consider yourself lucky.....wish i had sat in your section then....
i went to D&T 2010 CMAC and the portion of the crowd that i was around was not as bad as 2012 CMAC.....last week's Furthur show at CMAC, crowd was one of the best i have ever experienced....so 2012, good crowd bad crowd....
in 2010, Furthur in Lewiston right after D&T 2010, crowd was excellent, then we drove to the Furthur show in Philly two days later and was probably the worst crowd i have ever experienced.....
so i dont think it is the Canandiagua area, CMAC venue, none of that, i really think it is simply hit or miss from show to show and from seating area to seating area no matter who is playing.....it all boils down to who gets tickets and where, there will always be obnoxious people at concerts.....i think what makes the obnoxiousness stand out so much more at a D&T show is the fact that it is acoustic and so the general expectation of hard core fans is for people to put a cap on the yelling during songs and when that doesnt happen we notice it so much more....i dont expect it to be subdued at a DMB show, for example, so all of the same yelling and drunkenness i probably dont notice nearly as much because i can surely still hear the song.....
