Re: 2012 Fall Tour

There's no way they'll play an arena show in Cleveland after they are playing Blossom this summer, and probably next summer too. If they're going to play Ohio this fall, it'll be in Columbus, with Blossom and Riverbend next summer.

To the gentleman who posted those (dear god please let them be true) dates: Would you happen to know when an announcement will be taking place?

Re: 2012 Fall Tour

i would expect a nation wide tour in the fall. not as many shows as the summer, but still national. they're only playing 3 shows in CA this summer when they usually play like 7. i would think they're holding off to play 3 more there in the fall. i would expect something like the fall 2010 tour + a handful of shows on the west coast and sprinkling of shows in the midwest to bring the total to around 22 for the tour.

Your'e telling me the Pepsi Center is going to be holding a two day DMB event, just one day after hosting a, what I am sure elaborate and gaudy, Madonna world tour stop on Oct. 18?

Taking into account the amount of time it would take to take down all of Madonna's shitty stage set, clean up and then have DMB folks come in the middle of all that and put up there stuff. All in a matter of hours?

I don't know much about running an arena but I don't think they would book these people back to back like this. Just my thoughts. I love the tour dates if they were real, but seeing this is the internet, I'm skeptical.

Really hope all this is true, moving to NYC in a month so I would definitely go to both nights at MSG.

Not that these dates are true at all but the original list of dates did not have the CA or CO shows. Just sayin'...

Re: 2012 Fall Tour

Hey guys...During Summer Tours with no album bands have more freedom to book dates. When albums come out there is more pressure to play certain venues, cities, etc etc. Not promoting an album is a free for all. When you promote an album you have to play big markets. It is not uncommon for this to happen. Phish has played about 15 shows with in 40 miles of NYC in the past 2 years.
These tour dates make perfect sense to me for releasing an album. The band can play whatever and wherever they want. To dispute these dates over the fact that they are playing close to these cities already is funny. You all realize that most of the amps around are close to big cities??
Albany - Spac
Buffalo- Darien
Cleveland- Blossom
MSG- Jones Beach

Like I said I am not sure if these are legit. But it makes total sense that DMB is playing pretty much the largest FM radio markets and cities in the land for releasing their new album...

Re: 2012 Fall Tour

Also as an FYI. Since most of these areanas have mutli uses (hockey, basketball, college) they would have to have the majority of this thing booked. Venues have to submit their "blacked out dates" to the league of their choice well in advance. Ampitheatre shows can come together quickly. Booking arenas is much more difficult, especially in Nov/Dec.
If there would be a FALL TOUR the dates are already in the can. Again none of this tells us if the above dates are legit.

Saw the Farm Aid show there...and although I love the area, it doesn't compare to the Sprint Center/Power and Light/Downtown Kansas City area...

Regardless, I'll take either, hell, even another show in Wichita would be fine with me. Even though that venue sucks.

I'm liking these dates.

I'm calling nans on the Madison date, but everything else looks good.

Maybe throw in a two night stand at DCU in Worcester or Nassau.

Yeah. I would expect 2 nights there at least like in 2010. Or maybe one at the garden and one at the VWA in manchester, nh like 2005

There is new arena opening in Brooklyn, NY. I would be shocked if DMB didn't take advantage of playing in Brooklyn with a new album.
