***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

Dave and Tim will be headlining Sunday night (the 23rd of September) as I am sure most of you are aware. An acoustic show in a farm setting should be really sweet .

Can't wait! Saw Jason Mraz and Guster there a couple of years ago. Really great people and cause. Since Allen Stone, Soulive and Michael Franti & Spearhead are playing on Saturday, guess I'll be going both days

If you've never seen Allen Stone, check out "Unaware" on YouTube. He is incredible.

I will be there. Looking forward to it. I wonder how long Dave and Tim will get to play? It's not a big festival by any means so it should be a cool experience.

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

So, I'm trying to raise 10k for this cause. I just started, and so far, I'm off to a decent start. Gotta pick it up, though.

If you would, please share the link to my page with anyone who champions this cause, and may wish to contribute. I may do a PayPal campaign where people can donate a dollar, as well.

Here is the page (it's also in my sig): https://lifeisgoodfestival.fundraise.com/john-comey

Thanks,
John

Is this going to sell out? Should I be any rush to buy tickets or should I be okay?

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

Last year I believe tickets were available day of but Dave and Tim is bigger headliner than anyone last year, so I'd say buy sooner rather than later. Looking at the line up with only a few bands each day it seems D&T would have a full set!

Thinking of going, D&T were awesome at the Kokoua Fest in Hawaii. Are you all camping or lodging nearby?

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

Having never been to a festival, only catching one or two webcasts of them, are there seats or is it just an open field and more or less general admission like fall 2010 for DMB in the pit? Also, anyone have an idea of how long it will be until the event is sold out? I'm going to go and can't wait, but want to hold off on tickets for a month or so!

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

it's just GA split between a couple stages. it's nowhere near the size of a caravan space. think more fair-like. who knows if/when it will sell out.

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

Anyone go to this festival last year? I'm curious how early you would have to get there if you want a decent spot for Dave and Tim. I'm sure it is a little earlier than you would have to be there for the headliner last year since Dave and Tim are probably more popular than the Avett Brothers.

i went last year & it won't compare. people will get there for the 1st act & stay at the main stage all day. i hate to say it, but i think D&T will ruin the atmosphere of the festival by making it less family friendly.

should still be a good good time, though!

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

Will this have more people than the Caravan at Randall's? I was Ble to get fairly close for Dave and Tim's set without gettin there far in advance but that was in the afternoon so maybe it's a little different.

Any idea how many people they are expecting or how many tickets are for sale?

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

^ I would say far less people than any Caravan just due to the size of the festival ground, it isn't "that" big, just the main stage, and a kid's stage. As far as for tickets selling out, they did day-of the show last year but I'm not sure about this year with a major headliner like Dave & Tim.

We'll be there Sunday! Taking our son Carter who will be just under 2. Loves the Fresh Beat Band! Hope he'll be okay for D&T though.

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

I think I'll hit this, coming from school in Boston. It looks like it's on MBTA commuter rail. I don't know if it runs inbound late enough to get home, but Dave playing like 30 minutes away, can't miss it. Even if it'll be the most standard set ever.
I hear this fest is really chill. Shouldn't be too hard to get railed if you get there in the afternoon. Not sure about that though.

Re: ***Official Life is Good Festival Thread***

So everything ends at 9pm. I assume D&T will be the final act at around 7pm?

I emailed the Warehouse and asked if it was a full D&T set and this was their replay. "Sunday, yes headlining will be a Dave & Tim full set."

I'm getting back from Atlanta on that day, so as long as I can schedule a flight that gets in early, I plan to go to this.
