Also gonna nominate Guster in the gym at UVM. That show was awesome.

1. Radiohead (6.5.12)
2. Ryan Adams (1.28.12)
3. Dave Matthews Band (7.31.09)

I would have to think about the other two.

Re: Top 5 concerts you've attended (any artist, including DMB)

Going to go with Top 5 acts I've seen, because I really feel as though four of the five slots would be claimed by DMB if I went by specific show.

1. DMB
2. My Morning Jacket (Saw them last year for the first time. Easily a Top 3 all-time concert)
3. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
4. Fleet Foxes
5. The Verve

Re: Top 5 concerts you've attended (any artist, including DMB)

I was actually thinking about this the other night after Phish N3 in AC was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. So here's my top five:

Billy Joel - March 7, 2006 - Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA

This was the first time I saw Joel live so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Joel is the reason I love music so much to begin with. It was a typical greatest hits show but Joel was funny, joking about him balding, about the people in the cheap seats (me) and making fun of the people who paid way too much to see him in the front couple of rows.

Roger Waters performs "The Wall" - November 11, 2010 - Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA

This was an experience I'll never forget as a concert goer. The whole theatrical make up of "The Wall" (and the fact it being one of my favorite classic rock albums) was such a special thing to witness. I cried a couple times throughout the show. Waters' message was true with how cyclical the world is, especially how he modernized "The Wall" to relate it today.

Dave Matthews Band - June 26, 2011 - Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ

This was my latest DMB concert and I don't think it will ever be topped. My favorite band in my hometown playing one of the best DMB concerts in the last five years. They played classics, they played them well and the Ants tease -> Halloween -> Ants was one of the best segues I have ever seen at their shows.

Phish - June 17, 2012 - Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ

I've only seen Phish three times and this show was by far the most fun. From the epic barricade created with DMBZilla, his wife and a bunch of other people so we don't get pushed around to the actual set list, it was the most fun I had at a show in recent memory. Never have I danced my ass off so much at a show. The fact it was in my hometown again made it cool.

Paul McCartney - September 28, 2002 - Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ

This was the first major concert I ever attended and of course like any Beatles fan this show was special. It was McCartney's first trip in AC since being a Beatle. Played all his standards, had a blast. He promised he'd be back but 10 years later there hasn't even been a rumor of a return. Oh well, it was still a blast.

Honorable Mentions
Bruce Springsteen - March 29, 2012 - Philly
AC/DC - November 17, 2008 - Philly
DMB - June 23, 2006 - Hershey, PA
Metallica - November 15, 2009 - MSG, New York
Foo Fighters - February 21, 2008 - Philly

Re: Top 5 concerts you've attended (any artist, including DMB)

Dave Matthews Band will always be my favorite concert to attend.

I've been to a Reba McEntire concert, (actually 4 of them), Carrie Underwood, Nickelback (ok we all know they suck) and a couple others that obviously weren't good enough to remember and after being to a DMB concert.....none of them are that special.

DMB concerts will ALWAYS trump any other musician. Don't know what it is about DMB but I just have a HUGE spot in my heart and soul for them!

Re: Top 5 concerts you've attended (any artist, including DMB)

1. Bruce Springsteen
2. Dave Matthews Band
3. Coldplay
4. B.o.B
5. Lupe Fiasco

4 and 5, I never would have thought that hip hop artists could put on good live shows. Both guys had their own rock band with them, all of B.o.B's songs (with the exception of Airplanes) were done with no beat/audio, 100% band. Lupe's show was a lot more of a mix of both. I was very close to putting B.o.B at #3, but Bruce/DMB/Coldplay were better concerts all around, while I had the most fun at B.o.B's.

U2 is a multi-media show. It's expensive enough that they have something specifically (and fucking expensively) designed for the 40 or so songs they keep in rotation for each leg of a tour.

The good thing is, those songs they play are all awesome. Amazing quality control, there.

The 360° Tour and Rolling Stones' Bigger Bang tour are the two biggest shows I've seen in terms of a multimedia spectacle. The scope and vision of them is awing.

Re: Top 5 concerts you've attended (any artist, including DMB)

Not really in any order, and some of these might not have been the best shows, but were best experiences

DMB at Hershey 03 and 04, had great seats at both, both were stellar shows

NIN at Virgin Festival - Waited through two acts to be like 20 feet from stage, bombarded by moshpits, awesome visuals, awesome music

Andrew Bird just recently blew me away at Beacon Theatre

LCD at Roo in '10 with the help of some drugs

The second NYE Phish at MSG show from the 10th row, helped by being super stoned
