You were the one that brought up the album rankings, which were never pertinent to the thread, so I don't see why you'd be so hesitant to continue talking about them now. Your logic-based mind should really enjoy the opportunity to use logic to defend itself here.
If you like the Crash and UTTAD songs live, but dislike the album versions, that leads me to assume that you dislike those albums exclusively because of the production on them? Am I correct? And if so, isn't that just taking a really narrow approach to music?
Also, your top ten list appears to contain 1 song from Crash, and 0-1 songs from Everyday and Stand Up, depending on which song makes the #10 slot. What's the deal with that? I have loads of other questions, but that'll do for now.

I posed that we should carry this on in
another thread that's more relevant, or a PM conversation; anything away from this thread. However it seems you're desperate to keep it in this thread, which doesn't bother me. I thought though it may bother other people who want to keep talking about more relevant issues.
I put my list of rankings in THIS thread because it's different and could be seen as 'guilty pleasure'. I offered a more detailed/deeper discussion in a more relevant thread so as not to disrupt this one too much.
Also, I never said I disliked Crash or UTTAD. I love them both, and think they are among the best albums ever created.
I like your questions.
To answer your 'production' questions: Yes, a large part of it for me is production. The music can be amazing but if it's not produced how I like it then I don't particularly enjoy (relatively) listening to it. Why that is may be down to either/both nature or/and nurture. I don't know. But production plays a big part, yes. I wouldn't say it's narrow-minded if it's my tastes. I am musically (and hopefully regarding most things) very open minded: I love Coldplay, Slipknot, Hiromi's Sonicbloom, loads of styles of music. I love Crash and UTTAD, but I love listening through SU+ED more.
To answer your last question: I believe that in the DMBZilla epic album ranking thread where we voted 0-10 on songs from all the albums, I voted both Crash and UTTAD higher than SU. And possibly even higher than ED. That however is due to them not being whole-album rankings, more song-rankings. I took into consideration live and studio, and sentimental value as well. I have done that with my top 10 as well. As a whole though, I prefer listening all the way through SU+ED.
(I said the Mensa thing because you stubbornly refused to accept I could be a rational being. I was not claiming to be a genius. Or, rather, the
intention wasn't to claim to be a genius
