Songs that you thought were by DMB before you were a huge fan

Back in the day I used to download songs on Limewire. I discovered a new artist named Dave Matthews through various friends. So I went on Limewire to download some of his music. I got quite a few songs. Included in those songs was Superman (It's Not Easy) by Five for Fighting, but it was labeled as music by DMB. I went around for about a year convinced that it was by DMB until my brother looked through my iPod and pronounced me to be an idiot.

Anybody else had something like this happen to them when they first started listening to DMB?

Five for fighting sounds a lot like DMB. I actually spent a good 15 minutes convincing my little brother 100 years was theirs.

There were a lot of mislabeled songs listed as DMB during the Limewire days. A couple have already been mentioned. I can't remember all of them but there were quite a few.

I had a friend who fervently believed Coldplay's song "Sparks" was DMB. I've always found it weird that so many people confuse DMB with other artists since Dave has a such a unique voice.

Dave has a pretty distinct voice to my ears. So I never had this problem, but I do remember all the mislabeled songs from LimeWire.

Somehow I got convinced that Superman (It's Not Easy) was a DMB song right when I was first starting to check out the DMB catalog, and I spent hours looking up DMB lyrics online trying to identify the name of it. It wasn't until months later that I figured out why I couldn't find it...

I also used Kazaa to download a bunch of DMB songs and got a studio Say Goodbye labeled "Loves tonight, friends tomorrow" and a #58.
