Re: 90's Bands +/-

I've got a feeling Pearl Jam is gonna win this easily.

I'm actually gonna have to protest this +/- due to the lack of salami.

Re: 90's Bands +/-

My vote would go to either RATM or AiC. Probably Alice In Chains.

Phish seems like an awkward inclusion in this poll.

Well, I didn't want it to be all grunge/hard rock so I threw Phish, Weezer, and Green Day in there.

Was going to add Hootie, Blues Traveler etc but whatever

Putting DMB in there would make this a huge waste of time.

Re: 90's Bands +/-

You can all bash me if you must, but Hootie & the Blowfish are a very underrated 90s band. Ridiculous hits on Cracked Rear View, followed by less commercially successful, but more complete, solid albums Fairweather Johnson and Musical Chairs.

I love Hootie. I've been listening to them a lot here lately.

We could probably have a "1-hit wonder 90's band +/-" include them, Candlebox, Dishwalla, Silverchair... bunch of others.

They have a lot more depth and quality to their song catalog than most people give them credit for. I have been listening to them more lately, too.

Agreed, I prefer Hootie to half the bands on this list.

You're badly mistaken if you think Hootie & the Blowfish were a one-hit wonder, my friend. They had 6 Top 10 songs on the Billboard charts in the 90s, and their second album, Fairweather Johnson, debuted at #1. Also, Cracked Rear View is one of the best selling 90s albums and debut albums of all-time.

Please give Fairweather Johnson and Musical Chairs a couple of full album listens. If you don't like it, no harm, different tastes.

Fun fact: Musical Chairs features Boyd on a couple songs and Roi on one.

Eh... I guess I only think of that 1 song when it comes to them. No offense really, b/c all of the other bands I named... I like quite a bit.
